—Perfectly asinine misuse of the Gospel.—

I thought it was great. It does what a sermon is supposed to do, cause the listener to ask questions and think about their beliefs. I wonder in what context it was said...

Church sermons aren’t the place for subtle irony, lest the main gospel message be missed. IMHO. I wouldn’t say that’s so much asinine as clumsy.

I didn’t notice it was a sermon when he said it. Personally, I don’t like politics in my sermons.
