Las Vegas-The slot machines jangle away with the promise of sudden riches, but many visitors to a job fair at a second-tier casino here are hoping merely for a minimum-wage job to snap their losing streak.
The grim economy hasn't been the only disappointment of the past several years for those hoping to find work with the limousine companies, insurance agencies and home healthcare providers that have set up shop at this career fair.
Ask Kimberly Howard who she voted for in 2008, and she glances sideways before confiding what appears to be a shameful secret. "Obama," she mutters.
It's not a choice she plans to repeat next year. She thinks perhaps Republicans will do a better job of fixing the economy. "I hope so. I'm praying so," she says quietly.
In order for President Barack Obama to win reelection next year, he will have to convince voters like Howard to give him another chance, particularly in battleground states with high unemployment like Nevada, which the president visited on Monday.

~snicker. Worst President ever bump.
In Public, they are all for Obama!

I am self employed and would vote for BTK Killer over at tis point.
slow learners.

Well duh. . Can someone please name one reason why someone who is jobless on November 6, 2012 would vote for Obama? Do they know where jobs come from? Do they know about capitalism, free market economics and small business? Do they understand stifling government rules and regulations and high corporate income taxes? Do they understand that Obama is anti-business, anti-free enterprise, anti-energy, pro union, pro environmental extremism and for bloated socialist government bureaucracy?
The solution of our jobs crisis is almost simplistic. The engine of jobs in America is small business. The knots in the noose around small business are burdensome regulations, high taxes, fear of litigation, unions, and Obamacare. Cut the knots and small business can breathe again. When small businesses can really breathe freely, they will start hiring again. Not before. So, what's the problem? Let's get on with it!
Oh forgot, add another stimulus or two in there. . .
I know a recently unemployed white woman in her early 50’s who will vote for 0bama in 2012. She’s beyond help.
We need Reuters because it supplies news to all the major networks and newspapers. This means a lot of the unaware will begin reading that it is no longer uncool to abandon zer0. In a peer-pressure society, this is important.
