That time where Perry did not seem like the biggest idiot in the history of politics put the time where Perry did seem like the biggest idiot in the history of politics a little bit in the rear view mirror.

Of course, Perry did accomplish the biggest idiot fail ever, so it really doesn’t matter.

I thought Perry did a very good job in the last debate.

What I can’t understand is why some people can’t resist jumping on a thread for a candidate they don’t support and bashing away. Especially since no one here is going to change their mind or their vote based on that tactic.

Oh well, the freedom of algores anonymous interwebs I guess...

His amnesty agenda will never fade, because just when you think the Perry that has always been is fading in the rear view mirror to be replaced by some new Perry - you realize he is sitting in the back seat with his twin Romney and with Newt.

Because people do change their minds. Perry once had a large following or at least a lot of people who hadn’t ruled him out on Free Republic. Now he does not and rightly so.

No more McCain style amnestybots.

Take your pick either Romney or dem operatives. It’s get Rick Perry and then posting untrue, bias garbage against him. I have news for them the lurkers by their actions have actually driven them to Rick Perry.

I loved all those statements, especially the one about our intelligence failures. We should really concentrate on the intelligence thing so we’ll know where to bomb if any of those countries get atomic weapons.

Also, did you notice the creepy Romney gaze. Perry avoided it throwing him off, but gee whiz.

Except for Shield, you are the smartest person on this thread so far. Congrats.

Okay, not much of a contest, but it’s fun to win, isn’t it?

Can you please explain to ALL how YOU would solve the huge
immigration problem we have now!!!! Yes the boarder needs to be
rock solid sealed but then what???? PLEASE, PLEASE explain how
you are going to get all of these people out of our country!!!! I
unfortunately live in California which might as well be Mexico, in this one
state alone it would be mission impossible!!!!! I think we all agree
immigration is more than out of control but before destroying a
candidate on this issue you must be realistic in your thinking!!!!!
Look at what the Feds are doing to the many states that are trying to
get a handle on their own immigration problems. Perry said he would
seal the boarder and I do believe him, the tuition for college is NOT
free tuition it is NOT amnesty is in state rates. For goodness sakes
these kids have already been in the public school system on our dime
for years!!!! Perry is a good man, although I still support Cain, Perry
is a good man not one of these candidates is perfect so get REAL!!!!!

It has been proposed many times by many people. Remove the governemnt bennies for illegals. Crack down big time on those who employ them. And watch the bulk of them self deport.

Perry has no amnesty agenda... has spent $400 million Texas dollars towards border control.

What has your candidate done for border control or for/against illegal immigration?

A safe bet is that your candidae has done nothing but find fault...just like you.

It has been proposed many times by many people. Remove the governemnt bennies for illegals.

So you are admitting that it is a federal problem and the border states are victims of the feds failure to control the border and to give benefits to illegals?

You are aware that for 30 years Texas has been under Supreme Court ruling to provide free public school educations to illegal immigrants?

Ignorant people from other than border states think they have all the answers and that we don't care that the borders are open.

Those same people act like we love supporting, feeding, educating and medically treating illegal immigrants...while their congressmen and senators do nothing to stop any of it.

If you don't like illegal immigration or open borders, get on your own representatives backs! We need your help down here...not your criticism for what is beyand our control!

I know it is easier to sit at computers and bitch but you can judge the results of that...and point fingers and bitch even more.

Seal the borders the way the Borders are sealed in Korea, and do what Alabama is doing.

My state legislators, who I know peripherally have worked to try to get laws like Alabama's through for years, and one of the people working behind the scenes to keep us from doing that has Been Rick Perry, and George Bush before him.

The problem People who talk out of both sides of their mouth as Perry has done is that sooner or later it catches up to them.

We could have had a law like Alabama's fore years were Perry amenable, and were Perry serious about the issue he could have gotten one through at the start of his campaign to show he was more than talk.

He could get that through even now.

Before you go whining at me anymore for calling him and his advocates out on this issue, why don't you try to ask yourself why he does not?

If he were not on the La Raza side of the issue, like he told them he was when he addressed one of their events, then why is enforcement like Alabama has only something he will do if elected to president?

If there were truly enough political support for an Alabama-like immigration law in Texas the legislature could easily do it without the support of the Texas governor. You’re a Texan; if you feel that strongly about it then run for office and lead the charge. Keep in mind though, Texas is nearly 40% Hispanic and many of them will oppose you.

do what Alabama is doing.

You mean like bullying school children and giving citizens papers in spanish because they look like illegals? I'm sorry but not all of us want to live in a country where people are asked to show their papers.
