Gingrich Now Beating Obama 45% - 43% in Hypo 2012 Contest
Reaganite Republican ^ | November 30, 2011 | Reaganite Republican

Fresh Rasmussen (national) poll now has Newt ahead of not just Mittens but Obama in a a 2012 matchup... so can we put-to-bed the tiresome Romney-the-Electable speil for good now?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Newt Gingrich surge has moved him to the top of the polls in Iowa, big gains in New Hampshire and now a two-point edge over President Obama in a hypothetical general election match-up.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely Voters finds Gingrich attracting 45% of the vote while President Obama earns support from 43%. Six percent (6%) prefer some other candidate, and six percent (6%) are undecided.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Others are now saying Gingrich could win... so here come the attacks on Newt from the Left... you know it's coming now.  And while Newt's a controversial figure for some within our own party, most libs absolutely despise the former Speaker- and will go after him with glee, imo. Not that they'll find all that much we don't already know about him.

No one gets to out poll Obama and live. One thing is this, Newt’s bags may have baggage as one reporter said, but the personal stuff is VERY old news and the more recent are wonderings off the reservation to I think, simply experiment on the middle of the road types, the establishment and the democrats. Basically, Newt has always been an achiever at conservatism. On trying to moderate his natural conservative leanings, not so much.

Newt on why he wanted a divorce from Jackie: “She’s not young enough or pretty enough to be the wife of a President. And besides, she has cancer.”

The personal stuff may be old news to political junkies, but I assure you if the public gets reminded of it in the near future, and they will, Newt’s poll ratings will plunge. He is simply not a likeable person, and his personal history, which makes Clinton’s look respectable, will come out stongly in the general election if we’re naive enough to nominate him.

The Dems could save money by dragging out those old black and white commercials from the 1996 campaign...you remember them. The ones featuring Dole and Gingrich...they hung Gingrich around Dole's neck like a millstone and filmed them in black and white. The association with Gingrich was designed to make Dole look bad.

Gingrich SOUNDS good, but I'm not feeling terribly comfortable here...

Oh good, let's all tear him apart now. Let's rehash the failings in his personal life. Let's all investigate every vote and every public statement he has ever made and interpret them all as anti conservative.

Yes, let's make sure Obama or Mitt becomes our next President.

Of course, I am being sarcastic. I have always loved Newt and do believe that he is a winner. Is he perfect? NO, but most human beings are flawed. He can lead us back to prosperity and constitutional governance.

You may be right, but the media never covered the facts of Gingrich’s marriage. Unhappy for thirteen years, the couple decided to divorce and Jackie filed for divorce. She had a lump that was malignant and because the family was close and the couple not enemies, Newt took the girls to visit her after she filed but while she was recuperating from surgery. How hard is that? Millions do it for the sake of family unity and respect for one another. Was he a womanizer like Clinton, raping and running, perverted? I really don’t think so.

I will go with the daughter’s account and everyone else can stick with the mainstream media and scandal rags which can be found predictaby overflowing with Newt’s political enemies as sources. For profit, conservative media piles on too. I’m sure the hopeless will hopelessly go along with the worst possible version of the storied myths on Newt and Jackie, as opposed to their daughter’s open and blunt account published in the past year.

Panic rides when Obama is over taken in the polls by anyone.
The primaries will be ending the arguement. No one gives a rip about smears this old. We want Obama out.

Not the point. The issue is how long will it take to undo the damage done to this country by this worthless POS and his cronies, mainly Soros, and Soros is not even spooled up yet.

Am pretty lukewarm about Newt, but if it does come to one-on-one with Zero, and the liberals are dragging up Newt's old baggage, that only opens the door to mentioning Obama’s liaisons with a pretty long list of women, including the campaign manager who left so abruptly, and a few men besides, and that's just a warm-up to his attachments to terrorists, Muslim Brotherhood, communists, porn stars, Reverend Wright, Rezko, Blagojevich, and on and on.

I have said this too many times. The objective is to beat Obama. If that means voting for the Devil, then so be it! Newt may be a lot of things including abrasive, egostistical, morally corrupt and a few other action verbs and adjectives, but if he is Obama’s opponent, he will get my vote. After he is elected, I reserve the right to criticize him and/or his policies. WE NEED TO SAVE THE COUNTRY FROM OBAMA!

“Our best chance to put responsible and principled leaders in Washington starts here, with Dede Scozzafava.”

"But we do agree our country must take action to address climate change."

“I don’t think right-wing social engineering is any more desirable than left-wing social engineering,”

Forget about all those things I've said. I take it back. Really. I do.
Just don't pay attention to that other guy who's said all those other
things and now has changed his mind!

I want you to elect me because I'm a good snake debater.

Just tell me what you want me to say, and I will say it!
