100% False.

Paul, who unsuccessfully sought the Republican presidential nomination this year, told supporters at the National Press Club in Washington that he is not endorsing GOP nominee Sen. John McCain or Democratic nominee Sen. Barack Obama.

Instead, Paul will give his seal of approval to four candidates: Green Party nominee Cynthia McKinney, Libertarian Party nominee Bob Barr, independent candidate Ralph Nader and Constitution Party candidate Chuck Baldwin.

You want true controls and effective oversight mk, vote for Obama, he's good at that (if you think the feds are going to go around arresting conservatives, you have forgotten the 2nd amendment and the fact that most of us are well armed). I know its fun to blame Jaime Gorelick but it all began with the Church committee.

Say WHAT?!? "You want true controls and effective oversight, vote for 0bama"

WTF have you been smokin' Roy?

(if you think the feds are going to go around arresting conservatives, you have forgotten the 2nd amendment and the fact that most of us are well armed)

My FRiend, if YOU think that the 2nd amendment would stop the Feds from attempting (whether or not it was successful or not) to round up and confiscate firearms from the public, you are living in a dream world. It doesn't matter one whit how many of us are well armed, between ignoring the Posse Comitatus Act and Comrade 0bama signing off on that damned NDAA and mewling that he "has the authority to arrest Americans but he won't do it" (how many of us believe and trust that sack o' sh*t?) all the Feds need is a reason, ANY reason to justify their attempt to disarm Americans "for the safety of the public" or as a "national security measure", if you work in the government, you know the phraseology already.

I know its fun to blame Jaime Gorelick but it all began with the Church committee.

I know all about the Church Committee, thank you very much but the fact is, Jamie Gorelick was instrumental in blocking communications between federal agencies, forcing them to use the Clinton Administration toadies as a clearance point or 'hub' if you will, before any data was exchanged. This allowed Bubba and Hillary to sell our asses out to the ChiComs in exchange for all sorts of campaign cash, but that too is history now.

I concede that the Patriot Act probably provides FINE investigative tools.

(Especially if we're talking about the many organs of a totalitarian state, which is exactly what is evolving in Washington.)

C'mon Roy, you're smarter than this. Ask yourself this question:

"WHY does the federal Department of Education need SWAT TEAMS?!?"

Don't start with the Dept of education. We all know that is a waste as is most federal departments, I'm not going there, we agree. As for your weird Ron Paul type paranoia of some washington dope reading your emails, and arresting you since you are a conservative, I don't share your paranoia as I stated previously.
