Option Two: An October Surprise => always happens, but never has had much effect
Option Three: A Weak Opponent => doesn't matter. Voters will be voting against Obama, not for the GOP candidate. The GOP primary is being fought so hard because it will choose the next POTUS, not the general election
Option Four: Vote Fraud Triumphs => always good for about 1% of the popular vote in the past. Double that for Obama. Will be especially bad in PA. This is the only option that has any merit.
Option Five: The Republican Base Sits It Out => not a chance.
WTF is wrong with people in this country???
I respect your opinion, but disagree. After this weekend's "annoiting" of Romney I began to do some serious thinking. If Romney will not repeal ObamaCare, I think the economy is going to tank anyway - and Republicans will be blamed, giving us 20 years of Democrat control of Congress and the White House.
If we cannot nominate a candidate willing to do what is necessary to save the country, do we want to take ownership of this disaster?
If Romney wants my vote, he will have to convince me he is going to make things BETTER.
I live in hope that my perediction - it will be a brokeraged convention and the eventual nominee hasn't entered the race - will come true.
On the bright side, I am in Maryland - so it doesn't much matter who I vote for. Obama could be found with the poverbial dead girl or live boy in his bed and he would still carry this state. How soon can I retire and move?
