Hopefully, this trend will continue and as Romney falls, Newt's appeal will rise. And more negative ads by Romney will just make him more unlikable.

Of course, this may be wishful thinking. I think the powers that be are doing everything they can to trap us with a worthless candidate. Maybe they'll entrap themselves with him instead and Newt will be able to take the convention.

“The More People Learn About Romney, The More They Dislike Him”

That has certainly been my experience.

You're only trapped if you let yourself be.

IF Romney is the nominee, you can always find an acceptable conservative candidate with the American Independent Party.

You can also vote for gridlock by doing all you can do to make sure the House and Senate are in GOP hands.

As for me, it'll be a cold day in Hell before I ever vote for Mitt "Liar" Romney.

Romney is a superficial president from central casting.

Not surprising.

Nobody likes Mitt. Even dogs don't like Mitt. PASS THIS ON:

DOGS AGAINST ROMNEY

SEAMUS ROMNEY ON FACEBOOK BOL!

We all know the sad story of Seamus, the Romney family Irish Setter who was strapped to the top of the Romney station wagon for at least one 12-hour trip to Canada – and who at least once pooped himself in fear and, after being given an “emotion-free” hosing down by Mitt Romney, was placed once more atop the car for more terrifying hours on the highway.

The Romney family has said previously that Seamus was given away to Romney’s sister after this fateful trip, and lived out the last of his days on a lovely farm.  But now new questions emerge.

This is true. Got a call from the RNC wanting money. I asked her what would be done with my contribution. She mumbled a few things, then very matter of fact, she actually said, “to help Mitt Romney beat Obama.”. That infuriated me, I then said I didn’t know Romney had already won the nomination and I would never give money to a liberal democrat like him. She then said, “he is a republican.”. I laughed and ended the call. I would think the other candidates would love to know that the RNC has already made up their mind and is actually fundraising for Romney.

Uh-huh! Talk is cheap, where are the numbers to support it?

A poll, regardless who conducts it, is only good for wrapping old fish in.

The REAL polls are in the primaries and in November. So far, the results belie the headline.

By a more than two to one margin, Americans say that the more they learn about Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney, the more they dislike him, per a new Washington Post / ABC poll:
No duh.

You can spray gold paint on a turd, and it will still be a turd. That’s what people find when they look past Romney’s glitter.

Let me add this article:

The only way Newt will lose to the Kenyan Turd is IF the "Establishment Republicans" REFUSE to support the Republican Nominee.
Now the "Republican Establishment's" hatred for conservatives is well known.
Jon Bershad wrote about Rush's analysis of their PANIC.

How many times has the "Republican Establishment" treated us to one lecture after the other on the need for “compromise” and “patience.”?
After we elect and RE-elect the "Republican Establishment", they conduct themselves with none of the confidence and enthusiasm with which they expressed themselves on the campaign trail.
It may be worth it for the GOP to lose some elections - if it means that conservatives—and the country—will ultimately win.

If we didn’t know it before, WE ... the Tea Partiers, now knows that accepting short-term loss in exchange for long-term gain is the essence of compromise, the essence of politics.

Ironically, we can thank the "Republican Establishment" for impressing this so indelibly upon us!!!
I'm fresh out of "patience", and I'm not in the mood for "compromise".
"COMPROMISE" to me is a dirty word.
Let the RINO's compromise their values, with the conservatives, for a change.

My dislike for the Democratic Party is second to none.
But my ... LOATHING ... for the "Establishment Republicans" ... is even stronger!
The "Establishment Republicans" can go to hell!

I was just looking at NRO. They've been big Romney boosters.

But today's lead article is titled Why Not Santorum?. And today's poll question asks, Who is the best alternative to Romney? and offers a choice between Gingrich and Santorum (Santorum's up 80 to 20) with no third option to stick with Mittens.

There are also several of hard-hitting pieces further down the page: Deroy Murdock's Newt’s Plan, Mitt’s Morass on the superiority of Newt's tax reform plan, Andrew C. McCarthy's See Mitt Pander on Mitt's inability to get conservatism, and Larry Kudlow's Message to Mitt: A rising tide lifts all boats on the value of supply-side philosophy. Then there's Jonah Goldberg's The Case for Romney: He'll owe us. Quite the subtitle, Jonah!

Might the GOP-E be wobbly on Romney?

Everyone knows TPM (Talking Points Memo) is a left-wing blog, and here they’re reporting on a MSM poll from two liberal news organizations, ABC News and the Washington Post, not of likely voters, but of general population adults, and lacking any internals for party ID (source: http://bit.ly/xPnG6K). And you’re all swallowing it whole as if you were regulars at Democratic Underground.

This is no surprise at all. I’ve mentioned this Weekly Standard article often. The author analyzed Romney’s campaigns and described the exact same thing happening in all of them. This is just one of many reasons many of us have been opposing his candidacy from the beginning.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2818702/posts

More evidence of voters’ coolness toward Romney came in a recent Public Policy study, which took snapshots from 13 states both early and late in 2011. In all 13 states, he became less popular as the year progressed. Even more telling were Romney’s negatives—which increased in tandem with his name recognition. As Romney began campaigning more actively, voters became less favorably disposed toward him.

Judgments about former House speaker Newt Gingrich, who denounced Romney on Saturday night in Nevada, are about 3 to 1 negative.

Wonder how many really know the truth about the House Ethics situation

Unfortunately they are going to hear it from the FOX News gang .

Let me see if I understand you correctly. Every other Washington Post poll you view with extreme skepticism, but this one you buy lock, stock and barrel. What can I deduce from that?

Yep.. it appears Romney will “win” the GOP nomination and go on to gracefully (and by a landslide margin) lose the election. And the Repub estabs will pat each other and themselves on the back for a job well done.
