War and presidents: would Obama dare?

Let’s stipulate that this is purely conjecture. OK.

But can you remember or find an instance in the history of the United States when voters changed presidents during a war?

Go ahead and look it up. No, LBJ and Vietnam didn’t meet that test. He quit. He wasn’t voted out...

I’ve been saying he would for months. Any wonder why he’s insulting every other country on the planet?

More likely that Hussein will attack Israel than Iran. Although, he is a Sunni, so attacking Shia might be alright I guess.

According to der Fuehrer Iraq and Afghanistan are over and done. Start a new war? I don’t for a minute believe that will or should make any difference to those who want him out and it would probably piss off a lot of his anti-war base. There is not a democrat alive today who could do the right thing in a war situation so I say that this conjecture is silly.

Technically, there is a war going on at this time that stands above and apart from all of the other petty issues everyone has their panties in a wad about. That war is to reclaim the Republic and the Constitution from the National Socialist Democrat Party and if you want to preserve the Republic then you’d better make that the primary goal in nominating a candidate and politically destroying the democrat party and obama.

Truman in Korea in 1952 would never have won so he didn’t try and LBJ in Vietnam in ‘68 would have been crushed in the anti-war demonRAT primary, so he bailed, so two demonRATs involved in demonRAT started wars, both bailed out so they can’t be voted out, so I think the premise is suspect.

“...he is a Sunni...”

Interesting, my take is the opposite. I’d like to see your evidence as I’m open to new information:

Al Sadr (Shia) left alone
Iran (Shia) coddled, nothing but words, no real action against
Hezbollah (shia) takes their side against Israel
Bin Laden (sunni) dead
Iraq (sunni ruled) followed Bush plan
Afghanistan (fighting Taliban sunni) escalated, added troops, only getting out now in order to get reelected.
Gaddafi (sunni) dead, took military action
Taliban (sunni) multiple drone attacks, lots of dead
Assad (Shia) avoided saying anything until mass slaughter,
now using words only.
Indonesia: Sunni majority, but priveleged class is mostly shia, Obama of course grew up in that priveleged class.

Who would fight for that smuck?

There is no way in hell I would follow that maggot into battle, and he sure as hell will not lead anyone into battle.

FUBO!

I’m not sure whether he would be Sunni or Shia. My point was more to point out that his motivation would be Muslim based.

In your list, you’ve mis-ID’d Assad as a Shia, he is Alawi. Alawis are sometimes identified and even prefixed as Shia, but they have less in common with Shia than Shias do with Sunnis. The Shia identification goes to lineage to the Mohamed family tree, not straight theology. Alawis are real odd ducks.

That said, Syria is the #1 ally of Shia Iran, so this is probably a mute point.

It is interesting, even more so, in that it is more compelling than the OP.

Hi Larry. Could you speak a little louder, please? LOL! Thanks for the blog pimp smackdown.
