MormonVoices today called on Republican Presidential candidate Rick Santorum to condemn the anti-Mormon comments made by his supporter, and honorary Florida Chairman, Reverend O'Neal Dozier. The New York Daily News and multiple other media outlets have reported that Dozier proclaimed that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, commonly referred to as the Mormon Church, is racist and said that the Church "is prejudiced against Blacks, Jews and the Native American Indians." He therefore demanded that Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney publicly "renounce his racist Mormon Religion." He claims that in so doing, he hopes "to foster and maintain good race relations here in America."

His position in the Mormon Church is higher than a Bishop. He holds the position of a “stake” which presides over twelve (12) Mormon churches. Yes, Gov. Mitt Romney is one of the heads of the Mormon Church. The following are just a few of the numerous racist teachings of the Mormon Church:
The Mormon religion is prejudiced against Blacks, Jews and the Native American Indians. These allegations are substantiated and validated by the writings of the former Prophets and Seers of the Mormon Church. The Mormon Church says that the Book of Mormon is “the most correct book, even more correct than the Bible.” The Book of Mormon in 2nd Nephi, Chapters 5:21-23 accuses God of cursing African people and causing them to have black skin in order for them not to be attractive to white people. These verses also accuse God of causing the black African people to be disgusting and detestable to white people. Furthermore, these verses accuse God of being against inter-racial marriages between blacks and whites. The Mormon Prophet, Brigham Young in the (Mormon) Journal of Discourses further degrades black African people by saying that they are uncultured, unattractive, unpleasant, low-life, wild and unintelligent. Prophet Brigham Young further states that “if the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain (black person) the penalty under the Law of God is death on the spot.” Also, according to Mormon Doctrine, Native American Indians were also of the class of the cursed because their skin was also a darker color. Both Alma 3:6 and Mormon 5:15 of the Book of Mormon degrade the Lamanites, which are the Native American Indians in the same way they do black African people. The Mormon Church is also prejudiced against the Jews. In the (Mormon) Journal of Discourses, the Mormon Prophet, Brigham Young railed against the Jews in a very hateful way when he said, “I would rather undertake to convert five thousand Lamanites (Native American Indians), than to convert one of those poor miserable creatures (Jews) whose fathers killed the Savior… yes, I would rather undertake to CONVERT THE DEVIL HIMSELF, if it were possible… I would say, leave them and come home, the Lord does not require you to stay there, for they must suffer and be damned…leave them to live and die in their sins and ignorance…they take pleasure in their wickedness… (Mormon Journal of Discourses).
Also, it is newsworthy to mention that the Mormon Church has a bizarre Mormon practice that involves posthumously baptizing Non-Mormons by proxy. According to Helen Radkey, a former Mormon, both Adolf Hitler and Ted Bundy were baptized at Mormonism’s ground zero-Utah in 1993 and 2008 respectively. -In fact, Radkey reported that the Mormon Church attempted to conceal the Hitler baptism. Helen Radkey also claims that the Mormon Church has posthumously baptized Holocaust victims, serial killers, 9/11 hijackers, Muslim terrorists, etc.
Because of the aforementioned facts, we believe that a Romney Presidential nomination for the Republican Party would widen the racial divide to a point of no return, because the Republican Party would be viewed as a racist political party. Romney’s nomination would cause the erroneous view that has long existed in the minds of black people, that the Republican Party is prejudice to become a reality. Also, if Romney gets the nomination, President Obama’s super pacs will educate the American people about his racist religion and he will probably lose to Obama.

Rick Santorum is Roman Catholic, he has no ties to this man or his organization. It would be more appropriate to ask Newt Gingrich or Barack Obama to renounce the man, than to ask Rick Santorum.

I’m sorry, that was brain dead on at least two levels. At least two.
Did this pastor forget his own racist past? The Southern Baptist Convention broke away for the Northern Convention specifically to fight for and preserve slavery. His chosen “faith” was a big instigator of the KKK movement. It wasn’t until 1995 that the SBC apologized for slavery.

This election today is not about Mormonism and shame on any people that try to take it off message.
It is about a) the economy b) no-win wars c) gas prices/energy d) cultural meltdown/culture of death. In a word, FREEDOM. (And I might add, within the GOP, about RINO power over the grassroots and whether it will prevail or not.)

Newt’s a Catholic now, too. It sounds like this pastor is a prominent Santorum supporter, so he can’t totally ignore it. I think Santorum should say, “I can’t speak for all my supporters, the pastor seems to have some theological issues with Mormonism, but I’m not a pastor contrary to popular belief, so I don’t have any grounds to comment”. The funny thing is that the pastor is not only correct, he’s black.
I think the issue should be heavily debated. If Obama’s religion (Jeremiah Wright) is fair game, so should Romney’s be.
Watch the media pick up this exact line of attack should Romney win the nomination.
One other thing, which is what I keep coming back to... If you think this is bad, just wait until Romney’s the nominee and the liberal media starts going after him.
I can see Wolf Blitzer asking him now.... “Governor Romney, critics say....”
He will then ask Romney why the Mormon church baptized both Anne Frank and Adolf Hitler posthumously (that’s just the tip of the iceberg). Just wait.
If Romney is the nominee, the MSM will destroy him and the Republicans will have no one but themselves to blame.

Today is 2012 and mormonism has yet to apologize for its racism and racist history.
Something else to consider when the issue of Obama’s being a Muslim comes up.
All he will have to do (if Romney is the nominee) is to point to what Mormonism’s founder said:
“I will be to this generation a second Mohammed, whose motto in treating for peace was ‘the Alcoran [Koran] or the Sword.’ So shall it eventually be with us—‘Joseph Smith or the Sword!’ ”

You do know that Mormons were driven out of Missouri because they were against slavery, and were a large voting block. Many Many evangelical churches still have segregated congregations.
If Baptists want to take this issue on, they had better be prepared to do so.
That was not the only reason allon. The "Missouri War" was kicked off by Sidney Rigdon's 1838 "Salt Speech" in which he declared a "war of extermination,". Smith later made this speech into a pamphlet. Then you had the Danite band raiding the local countryside.

And just 3% of Mormons are African-American. Only one black serves in the top 105 leadership positions of the mormon church today. Yet the mormon church has refused to repent of its racist theology and history - a point you seem to want to avoid.
If Baptists want to take this issue on, they had better be prepared to do so.
