As far as safety, Has anyone seen pictures of a degloved finger before? It is normal training in the Navy safety briefs and it is UGLY!
I’ve seen the real thing. It’s why I am darned careful of pinch points, and wear heavy gloves whenever I’m up on the rig. The oil patch isn’t the only place I have worked where you can strip the meat off a finger, and there are many more jobs I haven’t worked in where you can.
