I read a stunning voter analysis once
It showed that democrap voting is very consistant- they always get just about the exact same turnout, every election.
So when republican turnout is strong, they lose
When Republicans stay how we lose
SO GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!
Write-in Palin if you cannot hold your nose and vote for Romney, but DO NOT STAY HOME!!! A GOP majority in Congress is more important this election
Besides, I would almost rather see Obama stuck with a VETO-PROOF GOP majority to cram health care down his throat, then a Romney democrap-lite presidency with a GOP congress giving him everything he wants just because he is GOP
And Rmney has not said he will repeal Obamacare- only “the more onerous parts of it” (he said it on Hannity, and even Hnnity missed it.
We have a GOP majority in congress now and to date they have done NOTHING!
When you vote against the Republican nominee, you lose. Period. Write-in’s? You lose. Sit on your hands? You lose. Vote for the “pure” conservative running under a different banner? You lose.
In my opinion, a bad Republican is always preferable to a good Democrat. Why? In the executive you have a 50-50 chance of getting a conservative on the Supremes. A democrat gives you 100% chance of a lefty. You also have a 50-50 with veto’s.
Why anyone would choose 100% lefty over 50-50 is beyond me. And while you think you’re voting a 100% conservative by writing in Palin, you are, in fact, voting for Obama.
So no, turn-out does not guarantee a Republican win. Don’t know where you got that idea. The only thing that guarantees a Republican win is a majority of votes for the candidate. That’s math from your childhood.
I may do that. Haven't decided on Palin (does she really want it?) but there will be a write-in on my ballot. And I will vote for my down-ticket candidates.
Here’s the history of Presidential votes. http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0781450.html
How did we get voters out in 2000 and 2004? How can we get them out in 2012?
Like most people on this board, I don’t think we can break records for Republicans if Romney is the candidate. On the other hand, the Dems can’t count on the wave for Obama, either.
Nevertheless, I’m asking for Conservatives to fight *for* Conservatives where they can, not *against* anyone but Obama and the Dems.
