Cranberries are delicious and good for you. Commercial cranberry juice, loaded with high fructose corn syrup, is not. It is bad for you.
Do you have any evidence to support that? No fair using talking points from Michelle.
But ... cranberries are practically impossible to eat without some kind of sweetening.
What would you suggest as a "healthy" sweetener? As I understand it, sugar is sugar.
Sure, ever few years some new food substance has to be declared evil. In recent years the two most popular villains in the media have been declared to be high fructose corn syrup and [gasp] gluten.
But fructose was actually promoted as the "healthy" sugar, just a couple of decades ago. The truth is, it's no better and no worse than other sugars. They're all bad for your teeth, that's for sure! And so is acid. After enjoying our delicious cranberry cocktails, we should probably go straight to rinsing out our mouths -- not just to rinse away the sugar, but the acid from the cranberries as well.
To the OP:
I detest Michelle Obama as much as anybody, but I don't see any link drawn in this article between her, and an attack on cranberries!
I think the blogger is indulging in a bit of a stretch.
