Corporate cooties! DNC rebrands Bank of America Stadium as ‘Panthers Stadium’
twitchy ^

Posted on 07/17/2012 7:33:24 AM PDT by sunmars

Now that the Democrats are gearing up to hold their September convention at the stadium, they can’t even bring themselves to type the words “Bank of America.” You know, because corporations are totally greedy, especially when they’re associated with the bankster one percent.

For the record, Bank of America Stadium has never been called “Panthers Stadium.” Bank of America purchased naming rights in 2004, replacing L.M. Ericsson Inc. as the corporate (gasp!) sponsor. Prior to that, the facility was known as Carolinas Stadium.

Yep, can’t have President Obama associated with an icky corporation when he delivers his keynote address at, ahem, Bank of America Stadium.

And it’s not just a bit of iffy proofreading in one email.

Politico reports that “Another email in June made the same pitch about the stadium.”

Think BoA might be a bit miffed. They think we won't notice its called the Bank Of America Stadium.

Hilarious, can we all call it "The New Black Panthers Stadium" when he's there.

Maybe they should have called it, “Lambert Field.”

Would you want your corporation's name associated with the DNC? They are probably happy to yield their name for the week. Also if they bitched about it they would get a full audit from the entire Treasury Department.

Ya I remember when Obama said he saw the Sox play at Comminsky Park, pronounced with an “N” in it, rather than saying Comiskey Park.

That incident there proved that he was not the big Sox fan he pretended to be. How can you be a fan of a team but not know the name of the ballpark they play in???

Breach of Contract, sounds like to me.

I’ve always loved that Jane Fonda’s partner in her touring hate-America company in the early 70s (Donald Sutherland) has a son who is now the voice of Bank of America.

Barry's favorite Sox players were Ernie Banks and Billy Williams.

LOL, that famous Cubs were his favorite Sox players!

If I recall correctly, when talking baseball, he couldn’t name a single player, past or present, as a favorite. This from an allegedly big baseball and big Sox fan.

It could well be a breach of contract.

Part of why corporations spend so much to sponsor a stadium is so that, at any event held there, the announcers will say “here we are at (fill in the blank) stadium”, to get their name out there as advertising.

It may well be that the contract states that any event held there must mention that they are at Bank of America Stadium.

Well another day and another example of the superior wordsmiths within the communist party.

Thanks to full cover given to them by the MSM the wordsmiths continue to frame the terms of any debate.

Remember these are the very same scum who can describe sucking the brains out of an infants skull, or ripping their limbs off, or stabbing their brains with surgical instruments as “CHOICE”.

In what universe can anyone have an honest debate with people who would wordsmith “CHOICE” for a practice Josef Rudolf Mengele would be proud to have performed?

It will be interesting to see how many of the MSM (mainly socialist media) change the name of the stadium.

Remember how they changed “Contract With America” to Contract ON America”?

These are also the same dishonest wordsmiths who managed to switch red/blue state designations when the democrats complained it might lead people to believe they were red communists.

I cannot remember when the switch occurred only that President Reagan campaign was a Blue State one. According to an agreement between the networks the Red/Blue state assignment was to have switched back in 2008. Well that did not happen and it appears it will not this year.

We are dealing with scholars of Saul Alinsky’s world of dishonest debate and they will not miss a single opportunity to twist a phrase or perception.
