Do you think McConnell can be defeated in a primary? Do you think some other republican could win the general election?

Unfortunately, no I do not believe he could be defeated. He would barely win a primary, then maybe loose by a small margin or win by a small margin in the general. I’m no more a fan of McConnell than you are but it’s risky right now. I’ll just say that much. At the heighth of Tea Party fervor, a tea party candidate got beat in a primary election for gov. in 2011. A very unpopular Republican insider won the primary then went on to get defeated by a huge margin the general election for gov. in 2011. It’s disheartening to say the least.

To add to my previous comment, I have posted on this topic not long ago elsewhere that the voters in Kentucky seem to almost be schitzofrinic(spelling). It’s as if they want both guns and foodstamps at the same time.
