If anybody wants on/off the revolutionary progressivism ping list, send me a message

Progressives do not want to discuss their own history. I want to discuss their history.

Summary: If you have believed that it is all being done on purpose, now you can point to where it was laid out in writing by chapter, paragraph, and page number.

This is why TV news always annoyed me when I had TV. It is also why conservatives understand the liberal mindset but liberals don’t understand ours. It is because they and we are exposed to the same tactics in journalism, but we see through it more often (at least I do - I’ve been quite aware, since I was in high school, of the use of labels the excerpt in the op discusses in order to attempt to sway my opinion). It means we see where they get their opinions from and who is shaping them. They don’t really understand where we get ours from.

IOW, we both were exposed to the same coolaid but they can’t figure out why we are not marching in lockstep with them. It is because we didn’t drink it.

That said, all people to one degree or another are subject to this kind of manipulation, but it must begin with the information consumer’s trust of the source.
