On Thursday, Border Patrol agents working in the El Centro (CA) border sector were told by email that they would not be receiving any practice rounds during the next three months.
Townhall.com published that email:
“Enforcement Personnel,
Due to budget concerns and ammunition availability, we will not be getting issued any proficiency ammunition for next quarter. In addition to these reductions, we are also being limited to qualification ammo only. What this means to you is that you will not receive the normal 150 rounds for practice and we will not have any extra ammunition for a combat course following normal qualifications."

Duh,,, and we’re gonna believe that story. Never trust your own government, they will lie to you.
They’re saving up all their ammo for us. Conservative Americans.
They don’t want to practice with the more expensive hollow point they have been purchasing. That is reserved for us.
They did not actually purchase all that ammunition.
Think what a windfall that would be for the manufacturers - President BO would never allow that.
No, this maneuver is to manipulate and control the market.
At any point in time the government can exercise the contracts and divert all domestic and much foreign production of the specific ammo that they have contracted for to themselves leaving none for the civilian market.
Do not underestimate the guile of this man nor the evil of his masters.

Keep up the hoarding, buy as much as you can, buy when its available and somewhat affordable, I mean don’t waste your money on back alley $100 a brick of .22L cartridges.
The more the demand the more likely production will increase, new factories will be built in “free” states.
Ammo stored properly will last decades, actually as an investment some ammo bought ten years ago is really worth a lot more lately. Buy it now while we can, Obama is desperately working behind closed doors to restrict any and all ammo sources, especially milsup and imports.
They are saving it for when Ubama declares martial law.
This gives him double. One, he’s let it be known the border is less secure and two, there’s more fire power to turn on the US citizen.
I’m confused. In Table 5 of Coburn’s report DHS reports that the Secret Service fired almost 2 million rounds for “operational purposes”. Wouldn’t we have read about that in the news? There would be bodies everywhere.
So.. they bought 1.6 BILLION rounds of ammunition because “buying in bulk saved money” but they dont have any rounds of ammunition due to budget cuts from sequester...

That’s a possible consequence of not actually taking delivery, and laundering the taxpayer money into offshore accounts.
Or shipping the ammo off to jihadists or drug cartels.
They were tolerably corrupt. :-)
Could they possibly take possession of the ammo, declare some defect, and refuse to pay, thereby putting those ammo companies out of business?
