Mitch McConnell's no Kim Jong Un, but he's more dangerous to America (Because of 2nd Amendment)
The Philadelphia Inquirer ^ | April 11, 2013 | David Rothkopf

Posted on 04/13/2013 7:13:17 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

AMERICA is rightly on edge. When a man with the power to make life-or-death decisions affecting thousands of U.S. citizens recklessly shows contempt for decency and international norms of behavior, it is no wonder the American people would be both angry and fearful. When his threats are so clearly contrary to the interests of those he represents and even those who might otherwise support him, it is natural to wonder whether he has somehow become unhinged.

But we should react calmly. We should not let such disregard for the public good and such an imminent threat to the lives of so many of our neighbors and our children cloud our thinking. The madman must be stopped.

And nothing underscores the grotesque nature of the threat he poses than the existence of another madman seeking the spotlight at the very same time. The interloper, North Korea's Kim Jong Un, also threatens Americans, also flaunts the interests of his constituents, also baffles the world with his apparently callous indifference to life.

But Kim Jong Un is no Mitch McConnell. Because Kim, even with his nuclear weapons, is hardly likely to launch an attack on Americans anywhere given that the response would produce the instant and certain obliteration of his regime. What that means is that for all his bluster, the chubby little autocrat is very unlikely to cost one American his life. But in vowing to block any vote on even the most modest legislation to rein in America's out-of-control gun culture, the Senate minority leader all but guarantees that the toll in America's street-corner war will continue to rise.....

I nominated this yesterday on Twitter as the dumbest liberal article this year....it is just beyond stupid, beyond satire, mind numbing. I think I lost 25 IQ points just making this post in fact. I mean, it needs to be seen - if for no other reason than for us to know how truly stupid, and dangerous, our opponents are.

Not to mention, where’s all the “power” this says McConnell wields??

He had no control whatsoever over 16 traitors who joined the Democrats.

And turns out turncoat Toomey counts a ton more than Mitch.

This is beyond dumb.

Did anyone notice that this logically incoherent screed made an argument for the 2nd Amendment?

“But Kim Jong Un is no Mitch McConnell. Because Kim, even with his nuclear weapons, is hardly likely to launch an attack on Americans anywhere given that the response would produce the instant and certain obliteration of his Regime.”

He basically states that the at,crazy dwarf won’t use his 22 cal lady pistol on us because we will shotgun blast his face off.

Funny how mass media has nothing to report on North Korea crisis on a holiday weekend?

In The Philadelphia Inquirer — during the Abortionist Murder Trial — David Rothkopf acts in a predictable Partisan Media Shill manner. Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.

Until I saw McConnell’s name in the 4th paragraph, I thought FOR SURE that the author was describing Obama!

Well to be fair, there are a limited number of possibilities, none of which are available to those of us out here in public-land.

The people with access to actually knowing what may be happening, are all under tight control.

So for one, I am not surprized in the least. Wish there was more information, but this once I aok with just waiting.

Probably better that way actually.
