According to Senate President Stephen Sweeney, the right to purchase a firearm under the new card could be electronically switched off by local police if they have a suspicion or concern. Under current law, Second Amendment rights can only be suspended after conviction of a serious crime not based on mere suspicion or concern. The new approach turns the presumption of innocence on its head and violates due process.

But then what would they do when they're not trying to make our lives better? Hold a regular job? You can't expect our elected leaders to hold a
regular 9-5 job, do you???

Hey, if the IRS can hassle people for their political views, why do we think that local police should not be able to do the same thing.
Seriously this is just one of so very many outrageous abuses of our rights that it is astounding, but not surprising.

This pack of slugs all took an oath to support, and defend the Constitution, against all enemies foreign, and domestic. I took that oath 45 years ago, and I remember, there is no expiration date in the oath. The last time I checked, the Constitution is still the law.
Said slugs are domestic, enemies, in a word, TRAITORS, they should be treated as such!

Remington should partner with Hostess to make guns painted to look like Twinkies.
Gov Christie would suddenly support guns.

Given the government’s use of the IRS to harass groups and individuals not singing the same political tune, I would not trust the government with our 2nd Amendment rights. The use of an electronic on/off switch would make it too convenient.

There are certain states that I would not live in. New Jersey is one of them.
In 1967 I was offered a job in Passaic. But after looking around that fair city I declined the offer. That was one ugly city and the bars on the windows of downtown buildings told me all I needed to know about the crime rate there.
