Obama was working perhaps clandestinely with Morsi, Morsi fell out of favor, overstepped his bounds, was (maybe) involved in the violent take over of the US Embassy in Benghazi.
Morsi threatened to spill the beans about the fiasco in Benghazi - implicate Obama and Shrilliary - Morsi had to be shut up and cut off from the media, hence coup in Cairo. Mouths have been shut.
The Egyptian Army was not prepared to be emasculated as was done in Turkey. The Egyptian generals saw where Morsi was going and have been planning this coup for months. They also saw the possibility of losing control not only in Cairo but in the Sinai Peninsula as well and they said, enough is enough - with tacit agreements with Israel.
