Newt Gingrich correctly pointed out today that gang membership has grown by 40% since Barack Obama was elected.
There were approximately 1 million gang members in 2008 in the United States, an astonishing number.
The FBI reported:
Approximately 1 million gang members belonging to more than 20,000 gangs were criminally active
within all 50 states and the District of Columbia as of September 2008.
Today there are at least 1.4 million gang members in the United States, an increase by 40% since 2009.

Some 33,000 violent street gangs, motorcycle gangs, and prison gangs with about 1.4 million members are criminally active in the U.S. today. Many are sophisticated and well organized; all use violence to control neighborhoods and boost their illegal money-making activities, which include robbery, drug and gun trafficking, fraud, extortion, and prostitution rings. According to the 2011 National Gang Threat Assessment report, gangs are responsible for an average of 48 percent of violent crime in most jurisdictions, and up to 90 percent in others.
Violent attacks on whites increased by 18% last year.

Those would be troubling numbers with any group, or any other racial group anyway, but the Department of Justice’s statistics show that violent crimes against White non-Hispanics increased 18 percent from 2010 to 2011.
This increased cannot be put down to an across the board increase in violent crimes, because during that same period, violent crimes against blacks only increased by 2 percent.
Serious Violent Crimes against whites, such as rape and murder, increased by 13 percent. Serious Violent Crimes against blacks within that same period increased by only 4 percent.
Crimes directed at men significantly jumped by 27 percent in that same period suggesting that white men have suffered a major jump in attacks within that year.
Crimes against Hispanics jumped by 42 percent, however Serious Violent Crimes against Hispanics only increased by 7 percent.

Don’t know how you jump to that conclusion unless you knew these young men personally. There is no indication in any of the stories I have read that even hint as to a drug deal gone bad
Yes, I would personally not cite those statistics until I had confirmed them with further research. But as for black-on-white crime, just in recent weeks I have validated several instances - all of them corroborated by security video and/or official police reports and mainstream news sources - of violent, unprovoked attacks on whites by blacks, sometimes causing death, sometimes not. Any ONE of these incidents more than offsets the Zimmerman incident - and hence, the controlling MSM narrative surrounding that incident.
You are so incorrect try looking at the crime statistics

Interracial rape is almost exclusively black on white — with 14,000 assaults on white women by African Americans in 2007. Not one case of a white sexual assault on a black female was found in the FBI study.”

Whites have been wise in buying guns for self-protection.
That’s what people said about the horrible case of Jan 7, 2007 in Tennessee too. It is either true, or an easy way to dismiss the ugliness of black rage against whites.

People watched TV shows about flipping houses and thought they could do it.
People watched the TV show AMERICAN PICKERS and thought they could do it.
There are some naked people on some island somewhere trying to survive BARE NAKED.
And I’m sure there are those who watched the TV show called BREAKING BAD and thought they could do it. They failed to realize this show is advertised as fiction.
And to the Left, killings by Black "youths" are perfectly OK - they have their reasons....
