Why Should I Vote GOP ?
8/7/13 | Alan Levy, Gun Owner

Posted on 08/07/2013 5:06:25 AM PDT by Absolutely Nobama

As a Conservative, I hold these truths to be self evident: (in no particular order)

* Life begins at the moment of conception. Abortion, for any reason, real or imagined, is murder.

* The Right to Bear Arms is an unalienable right that the government cannot infringe on in any way. Background checks, "assault weapon" bans, magazine capacity rules, and the like are completely unconstitutional.

*Global warming is as much of a fraud as the "Next Ice Age" scare was in the 1970's.

*Illegal aliens are criminals and should be treated as such. There should be no amnesty for illegal aliens whatsoever. All illegal aliens should be deported without exception.

* The Constitution should be interpreted exactly as it's written without exception.

*Marriage is between a man and a woman only.

*Capitalism is the only economic system that works.

*Radical Islam is just as dangerous as the Axis Powers and the Soviet Union.

Basic stuff, right ?

For We the Conservatives, absolutely. This is our meat and drink. This is who we are. The above self evident truths are in our souls. The vast majority of us are not willing to compromise one iota on any of them for a variety of heartfelt reasons. (Memo to arrogant and lazy media: Yeah, yeah, it's because we're all a bunch of racists, blah, blah, blah. Got it.)

So here's the Hundred Trillion Dollar Question: Why do we, as Conservatives, keep voting for the Sit-Down-When-They-G-O-Pee ? (Say it fast, you'll get it.)

For every truth I've listed above, there is a Republican, either in political office or as a useless talking head on cable snooze doing their best to fight against them. The laughable (and FOX News favorite) Mitt Trotsky was all for abortion as long as the "mother's life was in danger". TEA Party traitor Pat Toomey allied himself with the radical far left and tried to obliterate the Second Amendment. During the 2008 Popularity Contest, court jester John McLame made cap and trade part of his platform. Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan have decided that illegal alien criminals should be granted amnesty. John McLame (like a bad penny, isn't he ?) teamed up with the horrid Pus Feingold and declared war on the First Amendment. Michele Bachmann thinks it's Constitutional and perfectly A-OK to have the NSA spy on American citizens. Rob Portman and Ileana Ros-Lethinen are cheering for homosexual "marriage". Tokyo Rove and Charles Krauthammer are doing their level headed best to make sure that the socialist scam known as Obamacareless is funded. The rotund Chris Christie has never met an Islamonazi that he didn't want to make a judge. I could go on and on about the Weeper of the House and Mitch McConman, but this paragraph is long enough and depressing enough already.

I'm not exactly sold on the idea of a third party, but I'm becoming more and more open to it every day. Sure, there are some rock solid Conservatives in the party and in the media (Mike Lee, Rand Paul, Louie Gohmert, Sarah Palin, Mark Levin, and Rush Limbaugh to name a few), but let's face it, they are becoming marginalized in today's Sit-Down-When-They-G-O-Pee. They're derided as "hobbits" and relegated to the nether regions of the party, despite the fact that the vast majority of the base agrees with them. As their influence wanes, so does our liberty. I don't have all the answers and I'm not going to pretend that I do, but I at least know what question to ask:

Why should I vote GOP ?

For a long time, many Conservatives have struggled with this question... and the guilt associated with it.

At this point, I don't feel the least allegiance to the GOP and they'd be REAL hard put inducing me to accept a nominee of theirs.

I certainly will NOT be sending any $$$ to them. That's OUT. I think if true Conservatives would choke off all $$$ to the GOP, they'd certainly feel it. It's the only language they know... it may take a while... but it will hurt them. Vote with your dollars and boycott all the GOP BS!

Today, TODAY, the GOP will coverup Benghazi,
ignore the IRS atrocities, ignore the open borders,
continue to force RomneyCARE/ObamaCARE down the throats
of Americans.

The GOP helps Obama destroy America, but wants
the destruction to be slower.

Not a bad idea.

Like I said in the article, I’m not married to the idea of a third party, but I’m becoming more open to it by the day.

It’s willing collaboration ala Vidkun Quisling.

Minor correction for the “Next Ice Age”.

We’ve BEEN in an Ice Age for the past 40 or so million years. We’re STILL in it, merely between Continental Glaciations.

Which is why all the hullabaloo about EITHER “Global Warming” or “The Next Ice Age” is so laughable. Both pre-supposed that planetary processes, which occur over geological time frames of tens to hundreds of millions of years, are significantly affected by events occuring in purely human timescales. . .

If, in my wildest dreams, I could think of a third party it would be the Tea Party.
As Rush would say, however, I live in Realville.
A third party would be as useful as teats on a boar, and do little more then make you feel good about supporting them.
There are just not enough true Americans left to support, much less elect, a true conservative party.
One other point...Think about how many more blacks and Mexicans will be voting in the next election.

And yet, we’re told by some GOP’ers that paying $8 a gallon will lower the oceans and heal the earth.....

Or did the Kenyan Usurper say that ?

I dunno. They all sound the same, kinda like adults in Charlie Brown cartoons.

I wrote last year that many conservative voters act like they have Battered Wife Syndrome, that runs back to the husband thinking that this time it will be different when it won’t and never will be. I was mocked around Here but....

I for one don’t believe that the GOP is the stupid party - they know exactly what they are doing and that’s being honest that they hate their base.

1. Look, the majority of the GOP leadership lend towards big government in some fashion or form, they don’t think exactly like Pelosi or Dick Durbin but government largess is on their mind

2. most the the advisors and consultants are liberals as are most of the big donors, who are socially liberal and love big government too because it means they get paid too.

Take all of that together along with lobbyists and you got a party that despises its base. Even Rush said some years ago how at these cocktail parties he went to that the important people there told him that they are embarrassed by the GOP base..ie...social conservatives and now the Tea Party.

How many times did Rush mention in 2011 how many of these socialites would berate people like Sarah and he would get mad at their attacks of her.

The point to all of this - is that they couldn’t care less with we leave the party. Yeah they may be a minority party because of this but in Washington DC there is no such thing as a true minority - they will still hold power in some form and they will still have the crony big donors so that in most elections they can spend tons of money to tear down the Tea Party/ Freedom Party candidates and win most of them. As long as the gravy train continues in their eyes then they are safe and they believe that they will finally be liked by the media in these interviews and cocktail parties
