I have attended Chomsky lectures a couple of times. All I heard was a hairball of conspiracy theories. Everything of course was planned behind the scenes by global capital and (at the time) Henry Kissinger. I couldn’t make heads or tails of it.
I’m sorry for Sarah Palin that Chomsky’s twisted logic somehow found agreement with her.

There is no question that Chomsky sometimes loses his way on key issues, but tool or not of whatever sort he cannot be accused on not offering a very deep perspective on American and global political history. IMO.
Am I really supposed to be impressed that these dopes are only NOW figuring it out? Convenient that it’s after the second election of Dear Leader, too.
Remember that the KGB considered Chomsky and Zinn to be “Useful Idiots”, and funded them second-hand to cause dissent.
A lot of extremely smart people are also extremely whacked out.
As an example, I would cite the case of William Shockley. There are many others.
Steve Jobs treated his pancreatic cancer with Indian herbs and meditation. He probably lost years of life as a result. No one could convince him to take another approach.
