Early Voting Turnout in Colorado Recall on Par with Presidential Levels

Early voting in Colorado's recall elections is being described as on par with the kind of the turnout polling officials see for a presidential election. Many onlookers believe this does not bode well for state senators Angela Giron (D-Pueblo) and John Morse (D-Colo. Springs), as it seems a continuation of the passion that drove the petition process for the recall election to begin with.

According to Fox News lines in Morse's El Paso County district during early voting were so long on September 5 that they had to open voting centers early on September 6.

Keep in mind, more people signed a petition to recall Morse than voted for him in the last election.

Moreover, in Giron's Pueblo County district over 7,000 people voted in the first three days of early voting alone. This is the same district which turned in 13,500 signatures on a recall petition although they only needed 11,500 to get the measure on the ballot.

But opinions vary on what is motivating voters at this time. Morse confidently says he believes the large turnout is indicative of supporters coming out to keep him in office: "I have already been elected twice, I am excited by the prospect of being elected a third time."

Tomorrow should be fun to watch. I hope to see the anti-gun Colorado democrats go down in flames as well as Anthony Weiner.

I just hope it isn’t Bloomturd money paying for college student votes from out of district that is bumping the numbers up.

Same here. Hoping it’s not ACORN bus tours coming into town like elsewhere last year.

Yes, that’s the fear. And we’ll see. My hope is that the two democrats will be removed from power by the people, sending reverberating shivers down the spines of gun-control advocates across the country.

The collectivists are such a clueless lot.

Good morning, my FRiend..hope your weekend was a good one.

I read a few MSM "wishful thinking" pieces about the recall last week. General consensus was that Morse is burnt toast..a goner, but Giron may well survive. Wonder if it's just spinning on their part..the reports on voter turnout so far strongly imply they will both lose, BIG TIME.

Left Cries Fraud After Caldara Casts Gypsy Vote in Recall Election (Colorado Recall)

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3064425/posts

The newly enacted Voter Access and Modernized Elections Act, approved by Democrats with no Republican votes, allows Colorado voters who live in one district to cast ballots in another simply by affirming their intent to move to the district.

With regards to college students voting while away from college, I'd like to see some advocacy organization take up the mission to have all these "citizens" petition their respective schools to be refunded the excess charged for them being out-of-state students. Upon registration, the students have declared their residency within the state. It is unfair to charge documented new-citizens more than natural-born citizens.

Also, as declared citizens of another state, their parents back home should be disallowed the benefit of claiming them a dependents on their tax returns. How can one have a resident of another state as a dependent?

Of course the added benefit is restricting funding to a bastion of leftist indoctrination.
