At an event in Birmingham, Ala. Monday night, former Johns Hopkins neurosurgeon Ben Carson revealed that he had received a visit from the Internal Revenue Service following his much-noted remarks at a National Prayer Breakfast earlier this year. “I had my first encounter with the IRS this year, unsurprisingly after the prayer breakfast,” Carson told an audience that at the annual Business Council of Alabama Chairman’s Dinner, according to a report from Cliff Sims of the Montgomery, Ala.-based Yellowhammer News Carson’s February speech February made him a conservative darling for criticizing President Barack Obama’s 2010 health care reform law, while Obama was sitting just a few feet away.

Outrageous. Nothing but brazen intimidation against a citizen expressing views that are contrary to the administration’s. Carson needs to speak out about this no-so-subtle coercion more.

And now they will be even more emboldened, after Lois Lerner sat in front of a bunch of Republicans and basically spat in their face by testifying and then refusing to answer questions. She was never summoned back and has been allowed to ‘retire’. Probably with a very cushy pension.
And the IRS targeting conservatives, Christians, Jews? The Republicans have made lots of ‘tsk tsk’ noises, but no legislation has been filed to reform the IRS, no one has been charged with any crimes and the funding for the IRS remains unaffected as far as I know.
They got away with it and are getting away with it.
For sure they will chalk it up to coincidence, now to me, coincidence are like accidents, they do not just happen, they are caused.
I got a IRS shakedown letter last month.
Someone manually edited my 2012 tax form to show I hadn’t pre-paid 2012 taxes.
I had a copy of an IRS canceled check.
Revolt is coming.
yeah, they have been after me, also. I wont go into details, but I am quite sure it is no coincidence that I am not afraid to speak out against this regime at every opportunity, and the fact that I am on their radar.
