Tebow may not have proven himself as an NFL QB but I refuse to believe he is not qualified to make the roster as even a third string QB. There is a different set of criteria when it concerns Tim Tebow. (Video)

The man he could have replaced is now out for the season.

I don’t know what happened in practice, but in the games I don’t think TT was given a fair chance.

Especially with the Jets, but also the Pats.

Plus the never-ending harrassment by the sports media would be a distraction to anyone.

Yes and I wouldn’t be surprised if spends the rest of his career on the bench. It is kind of like what Rush said about McNabb years ago that got him booted from ESPN... I remember when Sanchez came into the league how many video packages the media were producing about him being a Mexican American... They really made it mostly about race. If Tebow was a minority (besides being a Christian), he would be starting right now somewhere in the NFL.

They won’t let him play. They just won’t. What are they afraid of?

he's an amazing athlete and he's been a winner everywhere he went.......he is blacklisted and it is very very strange....

I'm no expert, but he seemed to be a pretty good qb....just as good if not better than some that are out there now....

I don’t know if he would be a good quarterback, but I think the Jets never took him seriously. If they had, I think he could be helping them today.

Yeah, all the guy does is win.

2:00 minute video of Tebow’s playoff win against the Steelers.

He was horrible in New England. He couldn’t complete a pass. He hung onto the ball until tackled. He simply didn’t have the skills to be on the team. I hope he finds another team with lesser backup quarterbacks.

Yes. He may have had a low completion percentage 0 but he had a way of completing passes when it counted.

He’s a winner.

Right. The guy has been a champion and a winner everywhere he's played, but all of a sudden under Bill Belly-upchuck he's no good. Ask Wes Welker about that, einstein.

As a UF fan I have seen this with both Wuerffel and Tebow. Neither were ideal NFL QBs, but both had talent. Wuerffel had a somewhat reasonable NFL career helped by his head coach being in the NFL for a couple of years.

Now think about what you want from your backup QB. You want someone who can come in a few games if your starter gets hurt and maybe even win you a playoff game.

Well Tebow not only could win a few games or a playoff game for you, HE HAS. So for me the only explanation for his treatment is anti-Christian bias. It also to me explains some treatment of Wuerffel and why Warner was on the bench in NY after winning a Super Bowl in St. Louis and before leading Arizona to a Super Bowl. Of course this anti-Christian bias is led by ESPN.

“He was horrible in New England. He couldn’t complete a pass. He hung onto the ball until tackled. He simply didn’t have the skills to be on the team. I hope he finds another team with lesser backup quarterbacks.”

He played a little in pre-season and he did have some bad moments. His last game he played he did well, throwing some nice TD passes. But how many QBs are judged entirely on a few snaps in pre-season in that way. He has proven to be a winner in real games.

Belecheck even said he didn’t rule out picking him up later as he needed to get the roster at the limit at that time. But New England of all teams doesn’t need another QB. There are so many teams with horrible QBs. He should be on a roster somewhere. His hometown of Jacksonville would be a good team. I heard the owner is a Muslim. I don’t know if that has anything to do with the Jags ignoring the pleas of Jacksonville fans who are calling for Tebow but it is odd.

32 NFL teams.
Each have 53 players.
1696 total players.
Tebow is good enough to be 1 of those 1696.
I do think he would help his cause if he would agree to play tight end.

I don’t think that Tebow was quick enough for the NFL But I”m just a causal fan so I could be completely wrong.

Jacksonville ought to pick him up. They are already the worst team in the league so Tebow couldn’t hurt and might help their attendance.

Look, I liked the fact that the Pats gave Tebow a shot in pre-season. He was terrible and did too little too late. The NFL is a passing league. Sooner rather than later running QB's better learn to be pocket passers if they have any hope of dragging their teams deep into the playoffs.

Right now Peyton Manning and Drew Brees have the Broncos and the Saints at 4-0 because of their ability to read defenses and find open targets. Tom Brady is 4-0, despite having a decent high school receiving corps, because of his ability to stand in the pocket and find receivers downfield. Andrew Luck is probably the best young QB in the league, and it's not because he's mobile. It's because he has a great arm, is extremely bright, and is quickly learning to read defenses the way Manning, Brees, Brady and Rodgers do.

Tebow? Great college QB, but Andrew Luck he ain't.

The next great NFL QB? Teddy Bridgewater of Louisville. Dropback passer who can step up into the pocket and find targets with pinpoint accuracy. I just hope my Raiders draft him....

One thing’s for sure, Tebow’s a lot better than the new QB’s the Giants and Bucs picked up a month ago, both named Owen, as in “Owen” 4. tada DUM!

Jacksonville would be the only place that Tebow could possibly start right now. Why wish that on him?

Especially since the Jags owner, Shahid Khan, is a muzzie. I hope they lose every game until that evil raghead sells the team.
