Black Woman, Miriam Carey, Mistakenly Rammed "Barrycades" In D.C. - Chased And Killed

Ms Miriam Carey, a well mannered dental hygienist from Stamford Connecticut, may have been just touring Washington D.C near the Capitol Building when she surprisingly got caught in the midst of hundreds of Obama "Barrycades" which have been installed at a multitude  of places around D.C. and other federal properties - "because of the government shutdown," allegedly. Washington D.C. had been increasingly blocking off streets close to the residence of the Director of Barrycades, President Barack Obama, even before the shutdown. A city that was once a joy  to tour and view now looks more like Islamabad with all the restrictions and checkpoints installed  due to government paranoia and an increasingly mentally ill populace.

Ms Carey, unfortunately, panicked after she accidentally hit a barricade, not a "gate" as reported, and then  hysterically  tried to escape the pinball machine type maze of barrycades, which is the best description of Washington D.C.'s hundreds of roadblocks.

I am not excusing the woman, but earlier reports that "she exchanged gunfire with police" also seem to be false.

Included in Washington's craze to make the city  a maze of barricades, has been the barrycading of veterans' parks which had to be stormed by 80 year old World War II vets in order to gain entrance, as well as  blocking a very tiny, federal park for kids - Turtle Park - which local D.C. mothers also had to storm so that their children could play on the swings. If Obama could only temporarily lay off his presidential butcher, baker, candle maker, 24/7 movie projectionists, dog babysitters, etc. perhaps Turtle Park and other federal venues could remain open. Special thanks, however, to those federal guards  and  police, who, I understand, have volunteered their duty time for free, but will, of course, be compensated after the shutdown.

Most of the damage done to the police and their cars may have been from them also accidentally ramming the annoying and dangerous multitude of Barrycades. Its a sorry situation for all, especially Ms. Carey's toddler. May we pray for all involved.

After the Naval Yard shooting, I would assume all the police in the DC area are on edge. What if she had a bomb in the car and it went off? Then everyone would be saying the cops should have shot her dead. This is most likely a person with mental problems that just went over the edge. If she was just fired, that could be the catalyst. If she was taking meds, maybe she stopped. Maybe she was a paranoid delusional schizophrenic. At least she did not harm her child. Most of the time, that is what happens: murder & suicide. We will probably never know for sure.

Kidd, Just had a case in Culpeper Virginia where an officer came up to a woman in a parking lot of a church, started screaming at her and she drove away. He started shooting and killed her. No threat to him, she had no guns, she didn’t drive at him, just tried to get away from the screaming man with a gun. He got a slap on the wrist.

Officers should have routine psych tests. They have an important job and a lot of responsibility.

I would also add in routine course on Constitutional history and law.

You may be right, but not everyone is a shooter or terrorist. We don’t know who she was right now. They are putting everyone on mental drugs so who knows what the total picture is. It certainly doesn’t fit the description yesterday.

The damage to the cruisers were caused by the officers themselves in the hunt to kill something...Thank God there were no dogs involved....Just an unarmed black mother with a baby in the back seat. where’s Jessie and Al?

I think someday we will hear from the Secret Service that Ubama was, by a factor of ten, the most threatened abd hated president they ever had to try to protect.

The connection I find curious is the Connecticut connection. Doesn’t Barry Soetero have a social security number issued in Connecticut under a phony name?

The COP hit one of those pop-up middle-of-the-street emergency barricades as it was *rising* ... the COP was running code 3 (lights and siren at a high rate of speed)

Can you say “own goal”?

THERE IS VIDEO OF THIS AS IT OCCURS, TOO.

Officers should have routine psych tests.

Their unions would never allow that.

It looks to me like the Barrycades were already up when the idiot cop plowed into them.

Static observation based on a single photo; I don’t want you on the stand open to cross examination ...

A) Were the barricades fully deployed

B) Were the barricades in the process of deployment

Many people that 50 years ago would have interned at the state mental hospital are now out roaming the streets of our country. They function OK if they take their meds. Stop taking the meds and they start seeing things, hearing things, having paranoid delusions, etc. They also end up homeless sleeping under a bridge and peeing themselves. Sometimes they end up hurting themselves or other people who are out to get them.

NOW STOP READING MY THOUGHTS!

Has anyone said this reminds them of the Travon Martin case?

That picture is frame capture from the video.

In that picture, the barrycades appear fully deployed, though later in the video you can see that they are controlled in sections. You can see them let the barrycades down on the near side of the street to let an uninvolved vehicle get through.

It certainly appears that the section that the cop hit was fully deployed when he/she hit them.

What can’t be determined from the video was whether the cop truly had enough time to react to their deployment. It’s clear, however, that he/she made no effort to stop. Under hard braking, you would see the front end dip and the rear end rise as the car’s weight transfers forward. You don’t see that.

If you watch competent LEOs in emergency mode (lights/siren), you will observe that they do approach intersections with extreme caution to avoid possible cross traffic. People are supposed to stop dead to let the cop through, but they don’t always do that.

My conclusion is that this Kapitol Kop was on a thrill ride, maybe their first ever, and wasn’t exercising the level of responsibility and caution that the job requires.
