This was Ted Cruz’s fallback. Defund,delay,shutdown....all stupid ideas. Whether it’s from Cruz or Rubio. Hold the line. Make the dims own this thing as is.
The ideas are “stupid” if better is at hand. In which case our proper answer is “take the better option.” But sometimes ultimately victorious battles are fought in unglamorous foxholes.
