He tried to spin away the Big Lie with another Big Lie, but when that didn’t work, he was left at a crossroads. Triple down with a Big Lie about the Big Lie about the Big Lie, or bite his lip and apologize? The quote: “I am sorry that [people who've lost their insurance] are finding themselves in this situation based on assurances they got from me.” I’m actually not sure what that means. It’s not his assurances that have put them in this situation, it’s the law he signed and the regulations he approved that sandbagged them. Or is he suggesting — not incorrectly, mind you — that maybe he and his pet boondoggle wouldn’t have gotten quite as many votes if he’d been honest?

No Democrat cares about what’s GAINED from Obamacare, only that it LOOKS FAIR. It’s that FAIRNESS (even if it’s the fairness that everyone gets the same old bottle of aspirin) that is the GOAL here.
Obamatollah ran the Solyndra game again with this ‘Obamacare’ scam.
Step 1: Claim you’re helping a good cause.
Step 2: Transfer half a BILLION taxpayer dollars to your ‘private sector’ buddy.
Step 3: Your buddy’s company fails ON PURPOSE, then declares bankruptcy.
Your buddy keeps half that money in his pocket, and funnels the other half back to Democrat group XYZ.
It’s the plot from the movie/play ‘THE PRODUCERS,’ where Broadway producers hatch a scheme to defraud investors. They collect tons of money, then present a show so bad that it will close after a few nights. This way, they can pocket most of the investor money and nobody will expect a return on their investment because the show bombed.
Well maybe some do think of what’s gained. But they are deluded, and if they keep on with that they are in for a pretty devastating disillusionment.
A nicer political party couldn’t do that to itself. This is Democrat Waterloo in exquisitely slow motion. FINALLY their appetite for degrading humanity from antebellum times met an object that even they couldn’t swallow.

Now dear GOP, you shouldn’t get hoity toity about itself when it happens. Your opponent committing suicide through hubris is not the same as an encomium for you. I am thinking Justice Roberts actually had the right idea. He said “Kids, I’m not going to fix your game. Play it by your rules, if you insist to call it a tax then it is a tax. Learn from the consequences.” He might be one of the most mature ones around.
