53 is obviously not elderly so maybe she was autistic or had some sort of cognitive or mental disorder?

No matter, not her fault. But I agree women (I am one) if they are able must make better choices to avoid certain situations— which still aren’t their fault. (For instance drunk and alone wondering around campus. They
shouldn’t have a higher risk of being raped but they do— so don’t do it, stay with friends.)
I’m in my 50s, old enough for senior discount in some places. But what does it matter? It would be awful if she were their age, even.
I would not blame the victim either—she may have known them well enough to consider them trustworthy neighbors. But evidently nowadays a person ALWAYS has to be on guard for date rape drugs. It seems very likely that they slipped something in the lemonade.
Also separately, no one of these guys might have done this. People will do things(like sexual assault) in packs they won’t do singly. Just something I ve noticed. But of course, now that they have done it, they need to prosecuted.
