Are they harvesting crops with a sickle now? We need to give Russia a hand.
The opening ceremony was designed by an Australian company.
Where is he? Sitting on a bean bag chair in a dorm room somewhere?
So? The British hail communism, and everyone loves it.
Is anyone else bored with fireworks no matter what the venue?
What? CGI didn't land that gig?
I'm inclined to believe Putin who says all the bad press on Sochi is a conspiracy by the western media - the gays didn't get their parade and the media will have their revenge.
I think the spectacular they were referencing the performances inside the arena...not so much the fireworks, though they too were so.
“And I saw great Babylon brought back into remembrance.”
I think one of our misconceptions Americans have is that all or the vast majority of modern day Russians HATE the old Soviet Union. While it’s true that most wouldn’t want to go back, there is also a certain amount of wistful pride of the accomplishments such as being the first nation in space and becoming a superpower. Several Russians I have gotten to know, who are now professed capitalists, are still very quick to defend the Soviet Union and leaders such as Stalin if you criticize them, though I think it’s more out of a sort of nationalistic patriotism than any desire to go back.
I checked on the reporting...NBC has it all wrapped up, nobody can basically get in. They paid big bucks to keep it with them. You cannot get live stream anywhere else here.!
It looks like they’re harvesting heads with a sickle.
