Seems folks have known about sensory stimulation for thousands of years. Pheromones attract the opposite sex. Visual female nudity often attracts others. Drive by a bread factory and smell the aroma; you then want a hot chunk of fresh bread with butter! Smell the aroma of meat being smoked in a BBQ or grilled, or spaghetti meat sauce simmering in a pot; yep, you start salivating and want some!

Years ago, movie theaters were pumping the aroma of fresh popcorn into the seating areas and realized a surge in the sale of popcorn. ........Dopamine is funny that way.
