Yes. The Limbic area is embedded “emotions”—original “Fight/flight” instinct of human beings. It is why babies are severely damaged by neglect and abuse in infancy/young childhood because of the inability to be autonomous when stress/danger/need hits (Fight/Flight impulse).

They can’t “run” and “escape” evil or help themselves because they are totally dependent, so they embed the emotions and associate it with men/women/ events-—whatever. That fear and stress will occur in adulthood and affect all relationships if not resolved. When deeply embedded in early childhood, it is hard to discern the cause.

Socialist/Marxists (hard core ones) are literally brainwashed from birth. Useful idiots are just ignorant and are trained and conditioned to believe what they are told (group thinkers which is always emotionally driven). Without knowledge, people can’t “know” anything.

Emotions are embedded with concepts so they “feel” something is right—because they are never taught in a Socratic/Euclid manner (philosophical/Classical) . They are programmed when little to feel that Christianity/Capitalism is evil/bigoted and stupid etc.

It is Wundtian psychology that is used to train the Marxists and the masses so the Limbic area is the enhanced part, and far more developed (so Reason can never control the emotion), and the rational part is not developed as it would be with Classical Education.

It is a pleasure to read a comment by someone who has clearly studied the history of psychology. It’s been many years since I had that course which I absolutely loved.

As I recall, Wundt was a physiologist at the University of Leipzig which became the University of Karl Marx under GDR. The only reason I remember that is that I dated a woman who graduated from Karl Marx University and it brought back memories of Wundt’s research in psychology at Leipzig when we toured Germany together. Angela Merkal, the current head of Germany, has a Doctorate in Chemistry and attended the same university. (That’s probably why Germany is the only fiscally responsible country in the EU.)

Its been a while, but didn’t Wundt start “introspection” as a tool to understand mind?

The limbic system is not just about emotions, it’s the brain control center. It priority sorts input between the hemispheres(thalamus) and is responsible for long term potentiation. While the amygdala is considered the emotional controller, I recently attended a lecture at the Duke University Institute for Brain Sciences concerning the impact of GABA receptors in the central amygdala and the effect upon blocking the storage of traumatic memories. It appears to be a regulator effecting logical retrieval of long term memory as well.

The brain and the entire central nervous system absolutely fascinates me. Wish I had more time to spend doing research on it. I used to attend the neuroscience programs at NYU and Columbia just to hear Joe LeDoux and Eric Kandel’s research on memory. They look at the memory process from the inside out while I research from the outside inward. I have found the actual location of human memory storage and processing and can stimulate the stored memories which in turn generates a physical response in the neural pathways and the body. They don’t see the bigger picture as they, along with Karl Pribram think that the memories are stored as holograms in the synapses of the dendrites. They could not be more wrong.

Generally, I can remove an emotional trauma from a person’s memory permanently in just a few minutes. I’ve done it many times in front of groups and in private with total strangers. I’ve figured out how to eliminate the negative emotion attached to the stored memory without destroying the logical memory. Just did a demonstration for a psychological group in Chapel Hill NC this past weekend.

You are correct about babies being damaged by neglect and abuse. That’s why Bowlby and Ainsworth’s research is so accurate on “attachment theory.” Memory storage begins at conception. I can tell what a person’s mother thought of their father while they were in their mother’s womb(even though I am working with the child 70 years later). When I stimulate the stored memory it often knocks the person off their feet even though I bypass all their sensory receptors. If it is abandonment, the person falls forward. If it is rejection or being unwanted, it knocks the person backward. It’s so accurate that I have often known when a person was separated from parents to be in an incubator after birth without them ever saying one word. Memories are stored in the soul and anchored in the physical body. I just read the soul.

My research has bridged the gap between religion, psychology and medicine. It explains and often demonstrates the abilities of the mystics and even Jesus, without discounting them. Scientific materialism works but not through reductionism unless you start with the “whole” big picture. When perceived from a higher frequency of consciousness, thoughts are physical tangible objects. I do a lecture/workshop on the neuroscience of the New Testament.
