Bicyclist hopes video of his attack surfaces on the Internet.
A man riding his bike home from work on Chicago's West Side was set upon by two men in their 20s, one wielding a machete who swatted his bike as he sped past.
“I tried to speed past them, but one of them swung the machete at my back wheel," the man told the Chicago Sun-Times. "And then the same guy punched me in the face."
The other held a camera phone and laughed.
“That’s when I thought, ‘Oh, well this guy’s giggling, this is a joke to them. At least I’m not going to get murdered.’ ”
The 30-year-old man posted his tale on Reddit: "I assumed I would be robbed of everything I had on me but instead the machete wielder hit my bike again in the rear wheel and shouted at me to "get the f#$% out of here." Somewhat relieved I left as fast as I could ..."
Chicago Police searched the area following Saturday's 3 a.m. attack, in the 2500 block of West Potomac in the Humboldt Park community, but found no one. "I wonder if it was the 'Knockout Game.' I think that might have been what it was," the man said. He's hoping someone will find the video posted on the Internet.
Shoot them dead.
The first step is the realization that an attack on one of us is an attack on all of us, then and only then can actions be initiated stopping these criminal assaults.

I used to ride my bike through this very area back in the 80s before it got all gentrified.
The bike rider guy was an idiot for going down a side street - bored kids would just as well bounce a brick off your head if it filled in a bit of their day. I got plenty tossed at me and recognized that they were just doing it for fun.
Stay Tuned: Some moron with a “D” next to their name will propose that we give everyone free bikes, because it’s not fair that the victim had one and the attackers did not, and so they are all victims. Shouldn’t cost us more than a few billion dollars to get that program started.
It’s all fun and games until the bikers start carrying.
Do these attacks only occur in locations where guns are illegal?

No. I keep noticing that these attacks happen in cities controlled by Democrats, that’s all.

That’s a bit extreme. Bicyclers are annoying bothers, but shooting is much too much.
Further recollection would be racist.
Or in Chicago.
Black youth and young adults are conditioned to believe they can get away with anything do to white people, because the world owes them that.
White people need to get in the mindset of killing their attackers, and doing what they have to do to satisfy that mindset.
No one truly “lives” in Chicago ... there are only survivors.
