Used the autobahn this past year, seems like things are slowing down, 100km signs here and there. I had a 6 speed Opal and rarely exceeded 120km even when the road was clear. We drove all over and still haven’t found the town of “Ausfart” even though the signs at the exit ramps pointed the way.

My sister travelled to Germany about a decade ago. She landed at night and had to drive through a few towns to get to her destination. She kept seeing street signs in almost every town that said EIN BEIN STRASSE. She said she thought that whoever Ein Bein was, he must have been like Washington was in America, to have a town in pretty much every town named after him.
