It took a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request filed by Breitbart News to get the truth about Michigan Democrat Gary Peters’ military service “jacket.” Once it was opened it became easy to see why he wouldn’t want anybody to review it because it shows, “a man who had a broken service record that was substandard,” according to one of his former Commanding Officers. To be specific, Peters’ former C.O. said, “Gary was pretty much a warm body in virtually all of the units I saw him assigned to. He was never selected for anything.”

Retired Navy Captain Joseph John said, “Gary Peters has misled Michigan voters on his military service record. While we certainly appreciate everyone who enlists and serves on behalf of our country, on the campaign trail Congressman Peters, to put it mildly, has repeatedly made less than accurate statements about his time in the Naval Reserve and said things that aren’t necessarily true about his qualifications in the Naval Reserves.”

We don't need another democrat to represent DC. Land while imperfect is light years better than Peters and actually expresses a fair bit or genuine conservatism. I especially like her idea of returning the power of infrastructure to the states.

Its interesting that Gary Peters refuses to debate land and Debbie Dingell refuses to debate Terry Bowman. Its certainly understandable that Peters doesn't want any questions raised.

I wish I still lived in Michigan so I could vote against him. We’ve got our own empty suit with Anthony Brown in Maryland. His only job in 8 years as Lt. Governor was to oversee the health care exchange, which failed miserably and lost several hundred million dollars.

The fact that Peters hired Kwame Kilpatrick's chief of staff right after Kandia Milton got out of prison shows that Gary Peters is not the affable buffoon he tries to portray himself to be. Peters wanted someone who knew about bribery.
