Feds Scramble for Risky Vaccine
Canada Free Press ^ | 10/23/14 | Cliff Kincaid

Whether the mandatory vaccines work or not, they will most likely be covered under Obamacare

By failing to impose a travel ban, the Obama administration allowed a carrier of Ebola from Liberia into the United States, where he infected two nurses, one of whom was allowed by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to travel on a plane. But don’t worry. The publication Politico says the system “is working.”

The “experts” say they still don’t know how or why two nurses treating the Ebola carrier contracted the disease. So-called “revised guidelines” for handling Ebola have now been issued by the CDC. The pressure is on for an Ebola vaccine.

A ‘vaccine’ for Ebola was one of the predictions made by a blogger who is banned from FR. This blogger suspects the ‘vaccine’ will be other than beneficial.

I do not intend on getting one.

Gee. I thought the “worst was over” seeing as how there are “no new Dallas” Ebola cases and all....haven't all those “openly self- quarantined” contacts there passed that 21 day mark? What's the problem?

The gubment (TSA and DHS) are now gonna screen new travelers from Liberia and West Africa, and I even hear where they're gonna ‘track’ them for 21 days while they gallivant wherever here. I guess they're gonna use the same “trackers” the CDC sent down to Dallas, huh?

Yes, I don't see how it's at all suspicious that the Government owns a patent on the Ebola virus.

I figure, better a lousy vaccine than no vaccine at all. While I might still get Ebola, I might survive it, where I would otherwise die from it without a vaccine.

Or are you thinking this one will be some sort of Bill Gates Population Reduction special?

I’m with SatinDoll on this. It will have to become widespread before I get vaccinated.

My refusal to be vaccinated would be based on the possibility of my being exposed to Ebola. I live out in the middle of nowhere so that likelihood is quite remote, if not impossible.

Others, particularly those who live in urban and/or metropolitan environments, may feel it imperative to be vaccinated. I am not claiming that Ebola vaccinations should be shunned, merely voluntary.

I no longer trust my government.

Contact tracing is an old method of disease control, which was used before vaccines and antibiotics were invented. It still works pretty darned well for diseases that have no means of treatment or prevention.

Likely - when everyone tells the truth. Duncan lied about his contact didn’t he?

The questionnaire he answered to Liberian authorities asking if he'd come into contact with Ebola was answered “no”. He caught it helping to put an Ebola person in a cab to take her to the hospital. At one point Liberian officials were contemplating on charging him. He lied. There are many who would lie.

I do not know the exact questions asked, but still have no reason to think he knew he was exposed to Ebola. He had helped a pregnant woman who had complications and died, as far as he knew. This happens a lot in Africa. Every day in the countries where the Ebola outbreak is, nearly 2,000 people die of infectious diseases, and only 13 of those are from Ebola. Over 100 women die from pregnancy complications, IIRC. Ebola is rare, even in the heart of the outbreak.

The correct questions would probably have revealed a contact with a potential Ebola case. For instance, instead of asking "Have you had contact with a sick person recently?" to which he would have answered no, the question should have been "Have you had contact with someone who died within the last three weeks?"

Many Africans do not believe Ebola is a real disease. And when someone dies of Ebola, even their friends and families deny that the death was from Ebola.

Try to think from his perspective. Would YOU help someone that you know has Ebola if you don't have PPE? If the answer is no, then why would you think anyone else would do that?

We’ll never know what went through his mind and clearly what he knew and believed at the time because he is dead. We also have no reason to not believe he knew he’d been in jeopardy.

But I think relying on traditional views of the rarity or even the dangers of African locale treatment of Ebola victims clearly needs to be rethought (as with the ‘protocols’ Dallas was given by CDC that had to be rethought and retooled). And even, I don’t call Ebola ‘rare’ for countries like Liberia and Sierra Leone where there are reports now that the true number of Ebola deaths are being misreported or hidden (as you say, some family members deny the family death was from Ebola). Even potentially under reported, they are in the thousands.

We also saw in Dallas how at least one or more self-quarantined person went out and got a sandwich or something.

I think that now the NY Governor, backed up by the NJ governor implementing a government-facility quarantine for anyone who had come in contact with such is a very good start. Even Obama, now who has had benefit of not having to be out in front of the troops to lead can fire his token shot and “think about quarantines”.

Ultimately, if this breaks out in NYC, the resources and support available from government and the medical community will be vastly stretched to the point of plain collapse, IMO. And this is why we should have banned flights from the affected areas, period. Because it is my belief that someone who realizes they’ve been in contact there might just try to come here to get the treatment they now know an Ebola victim gets. Self-preservation is a powerful instinct that can transcend the ‘norm’ way of thinking.

If you don't live in the Turd World, and you are not engaged in the business of treating Ebola patients, you probably don't need to be vaccinated anyway.

True.

At one point Liberian officials were contemplating on charging him.

Posturing politicians under pressure and attempting to deflect blame. Best ignored.

He lied.

False. There is no evidence he knew he was exposed. There is evidence the family of the "Ebola person" lied (or themselves didn't know). And there is the fact that, once in the US, he twice resisted seeking treatment for what turned out to be Ebola, thus signing his own death warrant.

There are many who would lie.

There are many who would die. And are dying in West Africa. Because they are stupid and ignorant. Like Duncan.

I believe that there is no evidence he didn't know he was exposed, either.

As for seeking treatment here or not and what "resisted seeking treatment" actually means, who is to say that the family is telling the whole story? [I'll bet that story changes when they get a lawyer and sue the hospital]

That's why I believe that self-reporting, self-quarantine et al isn't what is needed; stop the flights, mandatory quarantines for those potentials already here.
