Much more practical, available now, tested and proven; nuclear power from thorium fueled reactors.
Molten salt breeder reactors using thorium would be grand. The US had an experimental MSR operating in the 60’s. It’s operation was a success and no major show stoppers were identified. It’s a real pity that this technology wasn’t pursued back then.
