A World History teacher in Maryland’s La Plata High School is forcing his students to study Islam, the so-called “religion of peace.”
When Marine Kevin Wood learned his daughter was being force fed “The 5 Pillars of Islam” in her government run school, he was outraged and brought the matter to the attention of school officials requesting that his daughter be excused from preparing a three page assignment on Islamic beliefs.
Now it is Wood who is being forced to defend himself and has been barred from even entering his child’s school.
Wood’s objection should have led to an immediate shutdown of the forced indoctrination. It actually teaches a so-called “religion” in a government school.
When Wood did get to speak to school officials who thought they were going to give him the runaround and quietly show him the door’ they got a big surprise.
Wood’s version of how the conversation went is, of course at odds with the school officials’ description of the interaction. He said, “I told her straight up ‘you could take that Muslim-loving piece of paper and shove it up your white ass.”
Wood’s position that “no taxpayer money should be spent on teaching Islam in a public school when Christianity is given short shrift or no shrift at all,” is hard to argue against for rational people who believe in the Constitution.
Showing their predictable pettiness, the school’s authorities have seen to it that Wood’s daughter received a zero for not having submitted the assignment...

They are literally mushrooming in our area. Mr. GG2 got into a confrontation with one last week at CVS pharmacy. They are going to get more and more aggressive as time goes by.
Forget teaching Islam in school we need to be getting rid of them period.
I would have had my daughter prepare, with historic sources, a proper analysis of Islamic beliefs.
This father may have an argument about how he was treated, what was said between him and the principal, the content of what was being taught, etc.
BUT...
Any real World History class is going to cover the basics of all the major religions in the world. That’s what World History is about! Most state’s standards are going to require a World History class to graduate, and most (all?) state standards are going to require that they teach about major world religions.
(And FYI - other news reports about this family show that the textbook includes a section on Christianity as well.)
They touch on it at our private Christian school. They teach it as a heresy and abomination. One of our history teachers went so far last year to include that the Muslim world has done nothing to further mankind and they are basically they same as they were in 700 AD, minus the oil revenue.

With some exceptions notable by their rarity, the left dominates the academic institutions in this country. What better way to increase their numbers than to subsidize putting millions of OUR sons and daughters in classrooms controlled by ardent leftist indoctrinators? How many parents do you know who scrimped to put a kid into one of these places only to find the kid, home during a break, spouting leftist anti-capitalist nonsense? Our family isn’t very large – but I can name several.
Time to put some ADULTS BACK IN CHARGE!

First, they say, "Well, no other parent has come to us with concerns about that."
Then, if that doesn't work they begin to insult the parent with, "So where did you get your education degree?"
Then, if that doesn't work they will resort to something else like threatening or actually calling the police.
The truth is other parents have usually complained. And just because someone has an education degree does not necessarily mean that the teacher knows that parent's child better than that parent does.
What this parent needs to do is get other parents concerned. Show them material. Meet with other parents off campus. It is obvious that he can not work the school angle any longer. They are all in cahoots with each other.
And sometimes you have to make a big stink and pull your kids out of that school. What the educators don't like is negative publicity. So have at it.
