Montana officer Grant Morrison was found not culpable for shooting Richard Ramirez to death during a traffic stop last April, claiming he feared for his life because he thought Ramirez' hand was reaching for a nonexistent weapon.
After much testimony from police officers about what a bad guy Ramirez was and how he was high on meth, despite video evidence (below) that provides no evidence for Morrison's assertion other than that he was aggressive and high strung and hostile, but does show him continuing to shout bullying orders after opening fire and taking nearly a minute to call for medical help, Morrison was not charged. Reason once had some credibility.
I don’t know why they have chosen to deliberately dishonestly portray things.
It doesn’t look like to me the officer gave Ramirez much Tim to comply with the order.
Shoot first, bark the orders later.
Armored vehicles with autolocking doors sound more and more appealing. Add in the South African carjacking detterent option.
I think the op should be fired for his language.
I watched the video and I felt it was poor procedure.
The officer knows there are four people in the car. Any one of them could have a gun. To pull the weapon and begin firing must have scared the piss out of the *other* guy in the back seat. But it was stupid. No cop can watch four people in a car.
If you have multiple suspects in a car, you get backup first. You isolate the individuals and then you proceed with the interrogation. No matter how argumentative or belligerent the suspect is, you have to consider both the safety and the potential danger of the other three people in the car.
Shouldn’t have been a cowboy. He needed to wait for help to arrive before approaching the car.
Should’ve tested the cop for steroid and caffeine abuse.
That wasn’t poor procedure, it was MURDER!
Although Reason would probably be okay with any substances being abused.
Not with “reasonable” use of such things, many of which would spell big trouble if not partaken of privately at home.

‘Roid rage is a cumulative effect of steroid abuse, it isn’t a passing psychosis from one injection.
I had a case of roid rage last year from a single pill that I had been prescribed. Though for me it was more like roid anxiety. I threw out the rest, what do you mean I am supposed to take this twice a day? Do you want me to go to Cape Canaveral and aim for Mars?
I doubt this was about JUST steroids, though. More like steroids and a lot of other things stirring up the pot.

Cops: Not immediately doing what we say is a capital offense. Right up there with murder, terrorism, etc.
I’m sure the municipality is real comfortable with that risk wandering the streets on their payroll? Get him off the force ASAP. He can swear at the back end of a garbage truck detail since he confuses language and garbage as the same thing. But then again, the people who pick up garbage deserve better than him as their coworker.
I hate to think of a police encounter?!
