There is a madness to walking through a blizzard and discussing Global Warming. A theory according to which we should be sliding toward the tropics, awash in fleeing polar bears and Florida style temperatures, instead of frantically shoveling our driveways.
To believe in Global Warming while stamping the snow off your boots is not a matter of science. It is a matter of faith. The scientist sees what is, while the believer has faith in what he cannot see. The scientist does not see Global Warming in a blizzard.
The Warmist does. To see Global Warming while walking through a blizzard, is itself an act of faith.

At Christmas time i expressed my contempt for global warming and my sisters jumped to its defense. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. In most other ways they’re solid conservatives. WTH?

The global warming crowd used to use artic ice thickness variation a prime evidence of global warming despite the paucity of documented air temperature variations that would account for the variations. When the Russians demonstrated the presence of Artic ocean volcanoes or “smokers” deep under the sea to account for the thickness variation, the discovery was ignored because it simply did not fit the narrative. Don’t ever trust the Left when it comes to science, statistics or economic analysis. Lysenko was the prototypical example of how the Left thinks and acts.
I’m not a global warming/climate change enthusiast, but I would point out that such a phenomenon is represented by a long-term trend, in which there may be embedded a variety of singular events, some of which will seem to concur with said trend, some of which will appear contradictory, neither of which, taken singularly, prove anything vis-à-vis the putative climatic trend.
I do believe I’ve seen this very same article THREE TIMES on Free Republic ...

It’s only global warming when it’s warm. Example, it has been quite pleasant here in Idaho. All the global warming disciples were proselytizing the doom and we must repent our carbon sins and bow down before a vengeful angry mother earth. Render our tax dollars to the Gorecle and all will be forgiven.
When it is danged cold, like the unusual cold snap a month ago which shattered cold record temps, then it is climate change.
Either way. WE’RE ALL DOOOOOOOOOOOMED
