The New Orleans Advocate reports:
"NBC News anchor Brian Williams, who apologized on the air Wednesday night for lying about an experience covering the Iraq War, is now facing scrutiny over his gripping accounts of Hurricane Katrina, the disaster that burnished his nightly news bona fides almost a decade ago.
Williams’ account of seeing a body float by in the French Quarter — which remained largely dry — and even a claim of catching dysentery from drinking Katrina floodwaters have raised eyebrows among bloggers and elsewhere since he took it on the chin this week over a claim that he rode in a helicopter that was downed by a rocket-propelled grenade in Iraq."

I originally wanted him fired but now I hope that NBC keeps him on.....he is the perfect mascot for that lying channel, and will demonstrate to all that they actually approve of liars.
Leave this poor man alone, he used to rescue puppies from burning homes, or so he claimed.....
Geez, what does his wife and kids think of him now? This must be tough on them.
I definitely don’t want him fired. If they fire him they are saying “we are not like him, he is different from us”.
And that would be yet another media lie, because they are all exactly like him and none of them are different from him in the slightest.
I worry more about the millions of wives and children living in an economy repressed by liberal lies and in a nation left unprotected because of the massive institutions of liberal lies. This scumbag is one of the founders and beneficiaries of those institutions and his family has been living off the downfall of America which his ilk is speeding along. Don't cry for his family. Cry for the rest of us.
Hell, that there Katrina stuff was just to attack Bush anyway..................

I watched NBC Nightly News last night to see if Brian would mention anything about the dust up.
No mention until his sign off. He said, and maybe it’s his usual, I don’t know.

If the American people demanded truth from politicians and news reporters they would get it.

Once some one establishes themselves as a liar (having “misspoke”, or “misremembered” or misreported knowingly), they are, well, a liar.
Funny, I heard NO apology for LYING!! I heard something very different......mis-remembering he said, when in fact it was an OUT and OUT LIE!!
