The 50th anniversary of the Selma marches will be a recurring topic on Sunday morning programs. The lineup this weekend:.
CBS' "Face the Nation" shares part of President Barack Obama's Selma interview with Bill Plante, who covered the marches a half century ago. The program airs at 10:30 a.m. on WKMG-Channel 6. (More of Obama interview will be shown on Satuday's "CBS Evening News" and "CBS Sunday Morning.") Other guests are Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.; Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C.; and Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y. Also discussing Selma will be Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., and Benjamin Crump, attorney for the families of Michael Brown, Tamir Rice and Trayvon Martin. The panel will be Margaret Brennan of CBS, Ruth Marcus of The Washington Post, Gerald Seib of The Wall Street Journal and April Ryan of American Urban Radio Networks and author of "The Presidency in Black and White."(continued)

The only “talk” about Selma that needs be said is that the evildoers were all leftist (commie) DemonRATs. That group of despicable creatures includes George Wallace, Sheriff Jim Clarke, Al Lingo and the KKK/Nazis (pro-union, big spending liberals of course) who murdered the children at the 16th Baptist Church. Also complicit in the evil was the leftwing ‘RAT Lyndon (not a true Texan) Johnson.

Please see post #4. I think Conservatives should care very much about Selma on the 50th Anniversary of the march. It provides a great opportunity to point out that the wanton violence of that era was orchestrated by the DemonRAT party. After all, the Ku Klux Klan is a facet of the DemonRATs. Wallace and the rest of his bunch were all liberal loons and that can't be emphasized enough. Capitalizing on Selma is a good strategy to highlight the righteousness of Conservatism today as it was then when Charlton Heston fought the 'RATs at the Pettus Bridge.
Don’t you want to learn more about how the black people in America used to being mistreated?
This 50th anniversary has special meaning for 54 year old Obama, who has said he was conceived during the march.
