As with every other scandal in his administration, President Obama learned about Hillary Clinton’s private stash of emails via the newspaper. You have to give Valarie Jarrett credit, she does a bang up job keeping bad news from Obama until it’s already in the hands of the press. You would think the President would have been aware that Hillary was using a private email address considering he emailed her at it. Nevertheless, the President knows nothing. No doubt he’s disappointed and outraged over the lack of transparency. No one could be more upset than the President. In reality he had to know Hillary wasn’t using a state department email address. The truth is he didn’t care, with good reason. If anything went wrong with Hillary’s email he could easily blame her for not using a proper government email address.
As Hillary prepares her White House bid it feels like we’ve returned to the 90’s. James Carville is running around calling the email scandal “right-wing talking points.” Bill’s whores and various women harassed by Bill are accusing the Clinton’s of targeting women. It’s interesting that in 2015 any of Bill’s actions with Monica Lewinsky would have resulted in a campus inquisition had he been in college. Meanwhile the Clinton’s are blaming everyone but themselves for the email scandal. This is all par for the course for the Clinton’s. Anyone who was paying attention in the 90’s has seen this song and dance before, nothing has changed. The question is whether the Democrats and the country, having had a chance to revisit the 90’s in the last two weeks, want to return to the endless scandals and blame games.
The email scandal is, on some level, amateur fun and games. You would almost expect more from someone as seasoned as Hillary. The real scandal is at the Clinton Foundation, which solicited and obtained donations from foreign governments while Hillary was Secretary of State. This includes Algeria, which received favorable deals from Clinton before making a substantial donation to the Clinton Foundation. It isn’t just foreign governments that donated to the Clinton foundation, big business donated as well in exchange for favorable trade deals. General Electric donated after Hillary negotiated a favorable trade deal for them. Boeing donated after Hillary negotiated an aircraft sale with the Russians. Even an upstate New York contractor donated money to the foundation after he received favorable deals from the Secretary of State’s office.
In other words if business or a foreign government wanted favorable treatment from the Secretary of State they needed to promise to donate to the Clinton Foundation. You may say that politicians do this all the time but the fact is most politicians are funneling donations into campaigns that are required to report their activities. Everyone’s looking at campaigns and PAC’s associated with campaigns, no one is looking at a charitable organization. The Clinton’s knew that and used it to their advantage. They had the added benefit of being able to attack anyone who questions them as being opposed to charity.
What the Clinton’s likely didn’t anticipate (or perhaps didn’t care about) is any outrage over the possibility of a Secretary of State being bought by a foreign power. At this point it looks like Algeria bought the Secretary of State with a donation to her family foundation. There are other countries that have been donating for years before she became Secretary of State, likely assuming she would soon be President. Foreign powers have been buying Hillary’s support for nearly a decade. The email scandal could very well turn into something but it’s nothing compared to the prospect of a President being bought and paid for by foreign powers via donations to the Clinton Foundation. These aren’t right-wing talking points, as James Carville predictably cried. This is a very serious breach of public trust. The press has reported that Hillary will speak on these matters later this week. Whatever she says ought to be interesting.
Imagine. When first asked, you pull the same old "I found out about it when you did!" routine. Then, you have to come out and make an equivocation about "I did send emails, but I didn't know about the SERVER!"
It is entirely probable that his team realized that whatever emails she filtered & released just might have one of HIS emails in them! So he'd have to 'fess up' somehow - ergo, the email/Server distinction.
Next, imagine that you're finally asked about Hillary's 18-minute equivalent email scandal where there are months long gaps in daily emails - EVEN DURING BENGHAZI. People and media are gonna start asking "what were YOU doing then? Did you email her during that time?"
It is then the dilemma of saving yourself by saying yes, and letting the media conclude SHE DIDN'T HAND ALL EMAILS OVER to the State Department. What do you think he's gonna do? Hillary, meet Bus - Bus, meet Hillary.

I believe that Obama didn’t know about the email scandal until he read about it in the papers. Valarie Jarrett has a way of keeping bad news from him until there’s no keeping it from anyone. The problem is that I also believe he’s clueless enough to have no idea what email address he was contacting Hillary with. So it stands to reason that he would have to walk back some of his outrage.
I agree it was a long time ago but we’re finally getting the details of it now. The Algeria donation just came to light. I’m equally as concerned about big business buying the Secretary of State with donations to her Foundation. The trade deals she negotiated weren’t for the benefit of the country, they were for the benefit of those businesses who paid her off. It begs the question whether there are any businesses who refused to pay to play and didn’t obtain a favorable trade deal as a result.
And brothers and Haitian gold mines. The nepotism and cronyism, using a charity for advancing personal agendas.
It’s just like old times.
While Carville and the gang were crying that adultery isn’t an impeachable offense (it should be) the reality is that Clinton was impeached for perjury. In fact, Clinton voluntarily gave up his Arkansas law license as a result of his perjury. Of course, no one wants to talk about that.
Frankly, whether he knew about the server or the actual email address is immaterial. We know she did not have an official State Department account, and we know that all records of her emails were solely contained on the server system in her home (against federal law, IMO).
He has now admitted that he (his office) has corresponded via email of some fashion. It is now a matter of making the State Department tell us all if those emails are contained in what Her Highness deigned to release to them or not. If not, why not? How does Hillary explain this - and the months long gaps in them?
In the end, he has to throw her to the wind and under the bus IMO.

I was illustrating the absurd defenses and diversions her ghoul team were going to in their defense. They had to trash the history of several former presidents to make it seem Bill was just being what they all were. Disgusting.
I think the corruption is pervasive throughout our political system.
That said ... Evita and Bill are caught either because they are SO stupid and maladroit or else because they have been at it SO long and are so extremely and totally corrupt that it was just a matter of time before it all became public information.
No matter which explanation works, it is bad for America.
It proves what Truman said: ‘All politicians are bad. You just pick the one who is bad for you.’
Or the benefits outweigh the risks of being caught.

The more I think about it the more I’m surprised Obama admitted he knew about the email address at all. He could have easily claimed that any of the emails he sent to Hillary were covered by “executive privilege” and therefore not discoverable by any Congressional investigation or FOIA request.
The question then is whether the public will care or not. Obviously conservatives and Republicans will care. The question is whether independent voters and Democrats will start to care. In the very least, I think the Democrats are afraid of what might be in these emails. They’re certainly afraid of the Clinton Foundation donations. They’re afraid, not because they fear for the safety of the country but because it they’re afraid of losing the White House in 2016.

Another VCS board member was Jean-Max Bellerive, noted the Mail, who co-chaired the charitable Interim Haiti Recovery Commission with former US president Bill Clinton.

Protesters gathered outside the Clinton Foundation in Harlem to complain about "missing money" from the US State Dept's recovery effort for the 2010 Haitian earthquake:
"New Yorkers with roots in Haiti protested, saying the picture [of the Haiti recovery] isn't so rosy," said the NY1-TV anchor. "People raised their voices to call attention to the missing money.
They protested outside the offices of the Clinton Foundation, which helped lead the reconstruction fund."
The protesters claimed that the US State Dept's $10 billion meant to help rebuild Haiti did little to help the country after the devastating 2010 quake. And that much of the money went to non-Haitian companies.
Said one proteser, “The Haitian people are still living in very difficult conditions, still living under tents, while Bill Clinton and his cronies--they waste this money."

People have to care if our national security has been compromised... and the erosion of our national security has been going on by inches for 8 years, now.
No I don’t think the Liberals care. The general public has had their concern for character and their regard for national security bred out of them.
We’re just going to have to live with it and demand better from OUR leaders.
