When he was in office, Frank probably insisted on those searches.
Probably flew coach class just to make sure he’d get one.
Thanks! I had to watch that and then go back and reread the article in order to understand. I don’t recall ever seeing the commercial.
I guess I don't watch enough TV.
(I only do stuff like this so's the pretty girls will notice me.)
Oh, BTW, you still beaucoup dinkydow, GI. :-)
It may be that you folks missed it because of channel selection.
My #1 Son has been living here the last couple of months and he has the TV on History, TLC, NatGeo and BBCA a lot.
(When he’s not here it pretty much stays on satellite music channels.)
And Map-Wah too.

Thanks for posting this and providing the fourth amendment reminder.
Funny thing is here in CA, there actually are state and federal trail permit and pack nazis out in our parks and forests.
You cannot hike many public state and Nat’l parks unless you go thru ridiculous hassle obtaining a trail permit for a specific day, ie: Mt Whitney, Yosemite, John Muir Trail, PCT, San Bernadino mts, etc.
If you are stopped by a park ranger employee asking you for your identity and permit, you must not lie or refuse to cooperate, as that would be a felony.
Secondly, they can and do stop you along the trail to check if you have an Approved bear cannister. No approved bear cannister, and you get turned back.
I understand the need to avoid too many people hiking and eroding trails, as well as the need to keep bears from habitually breaking into backpacks.
However, the park service restrictions are hugely inconvenient (must make arrangement sometimes months in advance to get a hiking and camping permit) even in areas that receive few hikers.
I’ve hiked extensively in European Alps and have never encountered such restriction hassle.
Finally, the park service seldom adds value to justify their fees and oversight presence.
Trails are often in a state of disrepair, valuable informative trail name / distance signs are scarce.
And it’s volunteer organizations that usually conduct a search and rescue.

That’s probably it. I don’t watch those channels much. I’m usually watching Law and Order on various channels, Househunters on HGTV, Buying Alaska, Buying the Bayou, Reno Addict...you get the picture. :)
Well, if you had told me it was ~somewhere~ I would have guessed California.
Yeah - we have The History Channel on so we can watch shows about pawn shops, trash picking and hotrods ....... (?)
LOL! We rarely watch NBC, CBS or ABC.
I have TBS on right now to watch OSU in the March Madness. As for the OP...you should have asked him if he knows that it is a crime to impersonate a park ranger.
Exactly!! Inspect THIS!! Is the majority so dumbed down, as to forget their Fourth Amendment - or any - rights??
I hadn't seen the commercial, either....so, thanks Grace for posting the link to it. I don't bother watching the TV much :) I can turn the durn thing on, but forget finding a channel with anything I'd care to watch. I usually get disgusted or mad...or, both!
Good work, shibumi...thanks for the ping 😉
We don’t have TV reception, but we do have a great media room.
If we want to watch a TV show, we just buy it. Right now we’re
watching Castle, the second season, and Bryan just bought us
Seasons 3-6. Season 7 is on the air now, but we will buy it at our
first opportunity.
Our line-up for Sunday evenings is
1. The Avengers
2. Farscape
3. Star Trek Next Generation
4. Castle
5. Once Upon A Time
In the wings are Game of Thrones, Dr. Who, and a few other
shows that will be plugged into the lineup as we exhaust
whatever we’re watching now.
