Actually, I think we all came out of Eden. I believe that was in Iraq. Just my 2 cents.

Note: this topic is from 4/14/2015. A little dull, and merely idealogical, but pinging it anyway. Thanks Sean_Anthony.

If life originated in Africa, why was Madagascar one of the last places on earth to be inhabited? It is a huge island about 225 miles off the African coast. People were living in Australia , most of Polynesia and the bottom of South America before Madagascar was colonized from Borneo.

“Out of Africa” Theory Officially Debunked
...
“Scientific evidence refuting the theory of modern humanity’s African genesis is common knowledge among those familiar with the most recent scientific papers on the human Genome, Mitochondrial DNA and Y-chromosomes. Regrettably, within mainstream press and academia circles, there seems to be a conspicuous – and dare we say it – deliberate vacuum when it comes to reporting news of these recent studies and their obvious implications.”

The construction of the test influences the IQ score. I imagine that if you developed an IQ test for living effectively in Equatorial Guinea, the folks in Hong Kong would do much worse than the folks in EG.

The Bushman tribes live in a very difficult environment. I imagine even a high IQ Westerner would have a hard time surviving there for more than a few weeks or months. What would the average IQ be if ten Bushman newborns were raised in a college professor’s household. Here is an interesting link about testing intelligence across cultures:

http://www.apa.org/monitor/feb03/intelligence.aspx

As a practical example, my son was dyslexic and a high school dropout. However I reassured him he could do well because he had highly developed social intelligence, and could always hire a secretary. He is now in his 40’s, happily married with children, and running his own business contracting construction jobs with several employees.
