MANILA, Philippines (AP) — Sadness and disappointment gripped Filipinos after Manny Pacquiao's defeat in his much-anticipated fight against American Floyd Mayweather Jr. but they still considered the boxing icon a national hero.

Yea, it wasn’t a great fight in any respect. Mayweather got what he wanted by delaying for five years, a considerably slowed Manny, unable to overcome Floyds defense. I would have loved to see Manny embarrass that punk b*tch, but ciest la vie.

Was there no rioting in the streets, no looting, burning or cowardly assaults of innocent bystanders? What the hell is wrong with the Filipinos? Perhaps Al and Jesse need to go over to show them how it’s done.

What a crappy non-fight - I guess nowadays you win by simply avoiding getting punched not by punching.

Ali - Frazier - those were FIGHTS - this was a snoozer.

And such as it was, I would give it to PacMac - he was actually trying to fight and landed some good blows.

King Floyd the Dull won after a five-year rope-a-dope, avoiding MP until the downhill side of his prime.
