Ensnared by anti-commerce regs: Times Square, drought-stricken CA have common enemy

The plain truth is: no commerce, no food, no freedom

Civilization-gutting law has been on the books for decades. Over the last 10 to 20 years they have been molded into enforceable regulation that eviscerates gains made in Western living standards. This is the product of legislation that was purportedly enacted with some benevolent intent, but ambiguous language left the door open to divert the purpose for other results.

In the case of environmental legislation, such as the Environmental Protection Act (1970), Endangered Species Act (1973), Clean Air Act (1970), Clean Water Act (1972) and now the Highway Beautification Act of 1965, the fruit of the open-ended laws is now taking its toll on the United States’ economy and, in actuality, our way of life. Living standards are now suspect due to the “harm” brought to our environment, be it from unsightly road signs that supposedly distract drivers to how needed water to grow the produce that feeds us is distributed.

Had a conversation with someone when the first mention of the signs in Times Square came to light. I made the connection to overreach by the EPA and was told there is no comparison and that "if the law gives the Fed the power...."

Some folks have no concept of the import of the 10th Amendment and of how the Feds have perverted it with the Commerce Clause and by other "It's a National (insert the rest here) and we own it" crap.

If you still believe that the GOVERNMENT IS HERE TO HELP YOU, you had better think again. The only purpose of this government, any government for that matter, is to expand, protect itself from the people they have sworn to protect. Every one of those GOVERNMENT ALPHABET AGENCIES will protect itself from the people, by passing laws to hinder the people from ever getting rid of them. As it stands today, the army of BUREAUCRATS is much larger than all of our military put together. And if we ever elect politicians that wants to get rid of these bureaucrats, these bureaucrats will fight to the death.

“In the case of environmental legislation, such as the Environmental Protection Act (1970), Endangered Species Act (1973), Clean Air Act (1970), Clean Water Act (1972)”

All enacted under a Republican president (Nixon) .
