The Honor Codes at all the federal service academies were not written to include what would have been in their time, and thus remain, dishonorable acts. Thus the entire academy system has been compromised, along with the rest of the military forces in their stead.
By 1979, the USAF no longer segregated them from the other troops being separated from the service. One of our flight badly injured his knee in boot camp and was being put out. He was in a place called discharge casual but was able to drop by our squadron for out processioning. Got to talk to him for a few and he told us that he had to break his crutch over some fruit who tied to put the moves on him.
