But after his release from the Hanoi Hilton (Hoa Lo Prison), John Sidney McCain, Navy pilot and son of Adm. John McCain, Jr., commander of U.S. forces in the Pacific theatre which included Viet Nam…told a much different story. McCain said this about his experiences as a prisoner: “They bounced me from pillar to post, kicking and laughing and scratching…I was beaten every 2-3 hours by different guards.”

His North Vietnamese captor calls this story pure fabrication. Political puffery is the reason given by the military prison director for McCain’s side of the story of his captivity. The race for the White House causes politicians to enhance military exploits, suggested Tran.

In a 1969 front page news story with a Saigon (UPI) dateline, the military publication “STARS & STRIPES” wrote: “The son of the U.S. Commander in the Pacific said despite bombing civilian targets in North Vietnam, he (McCain) has received VERY GOOD MEDICAL TREATMENT since being shot down according to Radio Hanoi.”

While I certainly have troubles with McCain, I absolutely cannot accept what the North Vietcong jailer said as the truth.

Both have their agendas. There are some things we will just never know the truth about.

I have spoken with a number of senior pilots from all services about McCain, a number of whom served with him. To a man, they detest him. They don’t generally go into details, but most of it stems from what a pampered ass he was till his dad said, “Shut up and color”.

Why don't we just take the word of the Japanese that the Bataan Death March was just a country stroll???

After living many many years I have come to the conclusion that generally and specifically politicians belong with the criminal class of our society. It is only by invoking the “Doctrine of Relative Filth” that one can vote for them. For example on a scale of rottenness from one to ten ten being most rotten McCain would fall in the 7 to 8 range; Pelosi, Reid, Durbin, Gutierrez would all be 10’s. We the innocent taxpaying serf's are in the hands of frauds, criminals, adulterers, avaricious mountebanks. As John Locke said; "Brute beasts fit only to be destroyed."
