Looks to be a pretty decent season.
I usually watch DW when I need a break from the political real world.
But then they put *this* in the trailer:
Clara: "He hasn't got plan yet. But he will have. And it will be spectacular"
Sheesh Clara, were you talking about the Doctor or Donald Trump cause that sounds like something Trump would say.

I’d watch but the last Firefox update totally doesn’t work on my Ubuntu laptop. Horrible. “Malware” doesn’t even begin to describe it.

imho BBC should not make these sort of shows in the first place. Tax payers paying for these silly things.
Sell the concept to the private market and turn into c-span.

DW is the beebs biggest cash cow, you can bet they’re dropping some pounds and pence on the production values. It’s still a damn sight better than the shows previous incarnation when it comes to spcial effects. When I irst saw it in the early 80’s the special effects were crap, but the writing was far and away some of the best on TV.

Season 8 and Capaldi sucked and was almost unwatchable so bad had the writing sunk.
Season 9 (still with Capaldi who still sucks) may have better writing ... we’ll see.
The moon is an egg episode was awful. Though the social commentary was interesting.

I agree, Capaldi makes the show nigh unwatchable. He’s worse than Colin Baker.
Yeah. I expected better of Capaldi, but he (or his scripting) was a disappointment.
Too much of Clara trying to run things; too much of the Doctor seeming in a daze and clueless.
Capaldi was much better in The Musketeers.
Will Kim Jun appear as a Time Lord ?

Sorry to disagree. Worst writing generally ... ever since Mofat took over - some of his writing is ok - certainly lightyears better than the other writers.
After the poorly conceived ‘Zygon Invasion’ every thing went back downhill fast. There will be a Series 10, which, for the first time since 2005, I am not looking forward to seeing.
You didn’t like the three part finale? ‘Heaven Sent’ was universally acclaimed. The one weak episode was ‘Sleep No More’ which was not surprising as Mark Gatiss supplies every year’s worst episode.
Finally sucked, sorry. I don’t have any connections to the universal acclaimers, sorry.
Have you disliked the entire Moffat period going back to the Matt Smith era?
